11/29/99 22:13:39 - Contrary to popular belief, Johnny and Robby were on the Daily Show tonight. The show should rerun tomorrow if you did miss it. New TV news for the Goo's is that according to multiple sources, Johnny will be hosting the VH-1 show "The List" for the week of 12/13 (not quite confirmed yet).

MP3.com has two cool new Goo features. First you can check out a webcast of Goo, then head over to the remainders shop for Goo tour merchandise!

The news out of Buffalo thanks to Joe and Tara is that Mexican Cession is opening the 12/2 show in Buffalo, as well as a band called Velour.

For those of you in the tri-state area, WPLJ had a top 300 countdown and Iris was #1! (Thanks, Sonya)

11/28/99 19:39:10 - Welcome back! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving break - I know I did!

Goo's on TV tomorrow! Be sure to catch the Goo's on "Regis and Kathy Lee" (check your local listings) tomorrow morning, and Total Request Live on MTV tomorrow afternoon. And tomorrow evening they will tape a show of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show", which is scheduled to air on 12/8!

11/16/99 22:37:15 - Cool Goo news! I heard that today in Los Angeles, the Goo's are receiving an award for "Iris" being the most-played song in radio history!!! Also, thanks to all of you who sent in the cool story from Launch about Dizzy Up The Girl getting its one-millionth spin! Note in that story that Dizzy Up The Girl is now certified triple platinum!

For immediate release November 15, 1999


Warner Bros. recording artists the Goo Goo Dolls will visit three television shows in New York City on November 29th before heading to their home town of Buffalo, New York for three sold out concerts. The group is winding down their Fall tour in support of their triple platinum album, Dizzy Up the Girl.

On the morning of November 29th, the band will perform their hit single "Black Balloon" on "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee." The show airs at 9am EST (check local listings.)

That same afternoon, the Goo Goo Goo Dolls visit MTV's popular show "Total Request Live" where they will reveal the special 800-number for the network's "Fly 2K" contest. Viewers can enter the contest to win a trip aboard the custom-made millennium party plane that will take winners on a global adventure. The plane takes off from New York on December 20th and picks up additional winners around the world. The final stop will be back at MTV's Times Square studios in New York for a New Year's Eve celebration with performances by the Goo Goo Dolls, 98 Degrees and others. Viewers can call the 800-number or log onto MTV.com or America Online for a one-time only opportunity to enter the contest.

On the evening of November 29th, the Goo Goo Dolls will visit Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" to chat with host Jon Stewart. The taping is scheduled to air December 8th.

The group then heads north to their hometown of Buffalo, New York for three nights at Shea's December 1, 2 and 3. The sold-out shows are the first at home since August of 1998! A week later, the band will begin their overseas military CHRISTMAS TOUR visiting military bases in Spain, Italy, Germany and Bosnia, with a special performance aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy somewhere in the Mediterranean.
