2/28/99 19:57:41 - ESPN Magazine has a section called "the Jump" (the news bits and funny stuff section). In this, the magazine always has a joking "In our next issue" and "Not in our next issue". In the March 8, 1999 issue (Jeff Gordon cover, page 34), they say:

```
It doesn't mean anything in particular, but it's always nice to get noticed!
15:20:27 - On the radio Top 40's, Slide is down 1 spot to #2 on Rick Dees' Top 40, and still #2 on Casey's American Top 40. Slide is still #2 on the VH-1 Top Ten Countdown.
2/27/99 12:27:36 - The Goo's will be on Modern Rock Live again tomorrow night, starting at 10:30 Eastern! For a list of stations it airs on, check out the station list! (Thanks, Joe!)

2/26/99 23:46:47 - The Goo's have an article on page 53 on the April issue of US magazine (Dylan McDermott cover). It's about a page long and talks about all three of them!

The Dizzy video is out! Valerie from Canada says she saw it on the French MuchMusic in Quebec! Look for it in the US in the next couple days, hopefully!

The West Virginia Wesleyan College Activities Board emailed me info on the April 5 show!

        On Monday, April 5, 1999 West Virginia Wesleyan College will be hosting 
the Grammy Award Nominated Goo Goo Dolls, with the New Radicals. The concert 
will begin at 9pm. Doors will not open until 8:30pm. This concert is open to 
the general public. Ticket pricing will be as follows:

WVWC STUDENT FREE
GENERAL ADMISSION $12.00
                Tickets At Door:
(If Supplies Last) $15.00
Tickets will go on sale this Monday, March 1, 1999 @ 8am. Tickets can be

Also, ticket info on the LaCrosse, WI (4/12) show! Tickets go on sale 3/22, and will be $20. I don't know if it's a Ticketmaster show or not, but you can call the college directly.

2/25/99 20:45:40 - It looks as if the Goo Goo Dolls episode of FANatic will air on MTV on April 21! Look for the FANatic's story in her own words appearing on this site right after the show airs!
The pillow from the Grammy's that Rosie had signed by many artists including the Goo Goo Dolls is now on auction at eBay! Before you get your hopes up, the pillow is currently going for $4300, but you can at least see it on this link!
On the Billboard Charts for the week of 3/6/99:
- Slide is up 1 spot to #2 on the Adult Top 40, down 1 to #11 on the Hot 100 Singles Chart, and down 2 spots to #17 on the Modern Rock Tracks Chart
- Iris is down 4 spots to #45 on the Hot 100 singles chart and still at to #11 on the Adult Top 40
- Dizzy Up The Girl is down two spots to #34 on the Top 200 Albums Chart

2/24/99 23:57:41 - And the Goo's did not win the Grammy for Record of the Year, which went to "My Heart Will Go On" (and on and on and on...). It's too bad they didn't win, but they did get nominated, and that is something to remember!
19:37:12 - "My Heart Will Go On" just beat out John Rzeznik and Iris for Song of the Year.
Also, ticket info on the Ames, IA (4/16) show! Tickets are on sale this Saturday. Only Iowa State University students can buy them, but they can buy guest tickets for their friends (1 guest/student, I believe). Tickets are $7 for students and $10 for guests.
18:11:23 - According to E!, the Brian Setzer Orchestra has beaten out the Goo's for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal.
17:34:21 - Word from Collene and Lauren is that Rob Cavallo won the Grammy for Producer of the Year!
Ticket info on the Augusta, GA (4/5) show! According to the venue. the tickets go on sale officially on 3/8. Their phone number is 706-793-8552. Tickets are $15 each, plus the $3.50 mailing fee. (Thanks, Niki!)
13:40:16 - Remember the Grammy's are tonight! The Goo's will not be performing, but are up for Grammy's for Iris as Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal! Rob Cavallo, who produced both Iris and Dizzy Up The Girl is up for Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical. The show is at 8 Eastern on CBS, and will also be webcast via www.grammy.com.
Kylie sent her pictures from her weekend in Australia to be added to her great Aussie Goo Encounter!
Ticket info on the Raliegh, NC (4/1) show! Tickets go on sale Friday, 2/26 at 10 am via Ticketmaster! Also, word from Creighton University is that tickets for the 4/17 show there will be sold to students only, 1 per student. If any tickets are left on 4/14, students will be allowed to purchase guest tickets.
Apparently the Goo's are on Rosie's Pre-Grammy show today! Check it out if it hasn't already aired where you are! Rosie is syndicated, so check your local listings. (Thanks, Heids!)

2/23/99 21:06:02 - Here is Monica and Kylie's friend Amber's Australian encounter with the Goo's! Also, Jaci sent me a review of the Pompano Beach (12/21/98) show (which is the one her pictures from earlier actually were from)!

I've heard a couple reports that the Auckland show went off well yesterday! And also, the Goo's were supposedly filiming a video for Black Balloon today!

There's a pic of the Goo's on page 16 on the Rolling Stone with Rob Zombie on the cover. This is what they say about the Goo's (Thanks, Amanda!):

" . . . After their set, the Goos tipped the bubbly in honor 
of earning Z100's Most Played Song of 1998 accolade for their 
power ballad "Iris".  "I'm glad we can still be a rock band 
with this weird sort of factory music that's going on," Goo 
head Johnny Rzeznik.  "I'm not gonna bag on boy bands, but 
that's just not my thing."

Here is a rumor on the Dizzy video from Joe H.:

The video for Dizzy should officially be released next week, 
probably starting with 120 Minutes on Sunday February 28th. 
I talked to some people that have seen the pre-release of 
the video and they said it is probably one of the coolest 
videos they have seen in a while. It plays off like a movie 
trailer with the Goos as the stars. It includes a car chase 
with them in classic Ford Mustangs also. It basically sounds 
like a spin-off like Beastie Boys "Sabotage" video. They are 
also going to make a live appearance on MTV on March 7th 
with Carson Daly, most likely on Total Request Live and 
play Dizzy live.

Amber sent info about an interview from radio station KEDJ that has an interview with the Goo's somewhere on their site! And Sara let me know that the Goo's are in Teen People for the issue of April! Mostly Johnny, but there are pictures and a huge article!

You can see Real Video footage from when the Goo's were on the Edge Session last November! The clip is 12 minutes long and is available on the 105.1 The Edge website!
Updates again to the Show Board and Ticket Trade! I also received a great note in my email from a fan from Ireland who used the Show Board not only to find out ticket info on the London, UK show, but also found a friend to go with! It's nice to see the Show Board being put to use!
2/19/99 19:06:14 - I have many reports that MTV is reporting that the Goo's will shoot a video for Black Balloon on 2/23 in Los Angeles! Wonder what happened to the Dizzy video?

00:57:09 - Before you can even get it on news stands, Beth typed up the Guitar World interview with Johnny that appears in the April 1999 issue! Also in print, the 2/14/99 issue of the New York Times gave a mention to the Goo's as the one to watch out for in the Best Record catagory at the Grammy's! (Thanks, Rea!)
Tickets for the Conway, AR (4/20) show will go on sale to students on 3/15 and to the public on 3/17! Students pay $10 and the public pays $15. General admission (floor) and reserved seating available. The floor is a seated area. Concert starts at 8:00 pm and doors open at 7:00 pm. (Thanks, Tonya)

2/17/99 20:00:40 - NBC's Jay Leno website is reporting that the Goo Goo Dolls will be Jay's musical guests on March 2! Maybe we'll see a performance of Dizzy!

The Goo's are apparently scheduled to appear on the New Zealand morning tv show called "Good Morning" Monday at 10 am.
Ticketmaster UK is reporting that there is a second Goo show in London set for March 11. This show is apparently in the same U. of London Union. However, I don't really have this confirmed, it may be a computer error. Hopefully I'll hear something soon!
2/16/99 22:12:17 - Ticket info for the Morehead, KY (4/6) show! Tickets are on sale 3/1 and will be $15. They will NOT be available via Ticketmaster, but you will have to contact the school for them (Morehead State U. in Morehead, KY). You must send them a self-addressed stamped envelope and a check for your tickets. You may request floor, lower arena, or upper arena seats and they will try to meet your request. (Thanks Beth!)

Updates to the Ticket Trade, and Show Board!
I hear the Goo's will hit Germany in June! This is yet unconfirmed, but a fan reports this to be true! Also, apparently we can look for a release of the "acoustic" version of Iris in March or April in Germany. Hope this all comes true! (Thanks, Stefan)
2/15/99 14:52:57 - Ticket info for the Steven's Point, WI (4/13) show! Tickets will be $20, and go on sale March 5 for students and March 8 for the general public. The number is 715-346-4100! (Thanks Michelle!)
Also, the Goo's will be on the German music channel "VIVA" on Tuesday (2/16). They'll be featured on "Override", a program where they will play live and also select videos THEY like to play! (Thanks, Caro)
The Goo's are apparently set to show on Ugly Phil's Top 30 in Australia on Thursday night! They will most likely perform something and will get interviewed by the aussie King of the Radio, Ugly Phil. (Thanks, Strider!)

2/12/99 21:20:16 - John sent in a review of the Tokyo (2/11) show! It's great to hear from Goo fans overseas, and that they get to see the Goo's!
07:11:10 - MTV is apparently confirming the news I brought you earlier in the week about the Goo's playing MTV's Spring Break Cruise (Thanks, Amber!). I believe the Goo's play the first night, but that's not confirmed yet. The cruise actually sails from New Orleans to Cancun, I believe. If you scroll down to What's New for 2/10/99, you will find a link to a contest you can enter to win tickets!
Word from Australia is that the Goo's will be on "Hey Hey, It's Saturday" again when they go there in about a week. I'll be sure to have a first-hand report for you all on it from the Australia Goo fans!
A new season of MTV's FANatic starts on 2/17! The Goo's aren't scheduled for the first month, but they should appear this season sometime!
E! is running a show called "The Sound of the Grammy's" that has a 3 minute interview with the Goo's. They talk about Iris and show them playing some as well! (Thanks, Rea!) It will also be shown: 2/12 at 9 pm Eastern, 2/14 at 10 pm Eastern and 2/5 at noon Eastern!

2/10/99 19:37:55 - Big news! I have an unconfirmed rumor, but a good source, that the Goo's will be headlining a show in New Orleans on a riverboat for MTV's Spring Break production in early March! MTV is also running a contest to win tickets to their Spring Break 99! (Thanks, Coll!)
According to allstar magazine, Mike was invited to the 5th Annual Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am golf tournament on April 12. I believe the Goo's will be in LaCrosse, and the tournament is in South Carolina, so it probably won't happen, but it's interesting anyway!
Apparently Slide was on tonight's episode of Dawson Creek. (Thanks, David!)
If you, for some reason, don't have Iris on CD yet (or just like collecting the Goo CD's), Iris is the #3 track on the 1999 Grammy Nominations CD, available now at your local record stores!

2/9/99 09:01:25 - Oscar nominations are out, and Iris did not get a nomination for "Original Song". The only rock song with a nomination was "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing".
Iris was the #1 song of 1998 on VH-1's "40 Years of Billboard"! It will replay today at 11 am Eastern and Saturday at 1 pm Eastern. Also, another Show Board update!
2/8/99 12:39:39 - Updated Peoria (4/10) ticket info! Tickets are $20 for the public, $3 for Bradley students, and $5 for Bradley faculty/staff (University ID required for the last two). Tickets are on sale March 22 for students/faculty/staff and March 29 for the public. All seats are reserved. Tickets will be available via the Fieldhouse at (309) 677-2625 and Ticketmaster outlets.
