I consider myself kind of an old school
republican, more of a libertarian i suppose. The
way most republicans apply conservativism of
government only to those things that fit their
liking is a perversion of the basic political
philosophy that the government is designed for
specific purposes and other than that should STAY
OUT.
The federal government doesn't need to do much.
Protect the US from military threats in the best
and most practical ways possible (this is not to
make GE happy by purchasing their most expensive
fighter jets, but strictly ment to be for the
benefit of the people).
Issue money
It is my strong belief that the government should
not try to redistribute wealth through taxes,
tarrifs or other nonsensical things. Churches or
other large charitable organizatioins should be
set up to help unfortunate people who get hurt or
sick.
How the hell the government got involved in drugs
and abortion is way beyond me.
Maybe instead of Young Republican i should be
Old-School Conservative.
