GOO GOO DOLLS GARNER RADIO MUSIC AWARDS NOMINATION FOR "ARTIST OF THE YEAR - POP ALTERNATIVE RADIO."

BAND WILL PRESENT AN AWARD DURING NOVEMBER 4TH LIVE TELECAST.

Warner Bros. recording artists the Goo Goo Dolls have received a Radio Music Awards nomination for "Artist of the Year - Pop Alternative Radio."The nomination acknowledges the success of the band's triple-platinum-plus album, DIZZY UP THE GIRL which includes the hit songs, "Iris," "Slide,""Dizzy," "Black Balloon," and "Broadway."Last year, "Iris" won for "Pop Song of the Year."The Radio Music Awards nominations are based on radio airplay and voted on by a 600 member academy comprised of top radio programmers and music directors.

ABC Television will broadcastthe show live from the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas on November 4th.Goo Goo Dolls members John Rzeznik, Robby Takac and Mike Malinin will attend the live telecast and will also present an award.

The Goo Goo Dolls latest release DIZZY UP THE GIRL remained on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart for two years!Almost four million copiesof the album have been sold, and "Iris," "Slide," "Dizzy," "Black Balloon" and "Broadway" have accumulated over a million plays at radio.In May of 2000, the ASCAP Pop Music Awards presented the band with the "Song of the Year" award for "Slide" which was ASCAP"s most performed song of 1999. The No. 1 hit song "Iris," originally written for the soundtrack to the film City of Angels, has received numerous awards and was the most played song at radio in 1998 according to Airplay Monitor.

The Goo Goo Dolls have been urging fans to vote in this year"s Presidential election through their website at googoodolls.com. They recently performed to 14,000 people at a rally for Vice President Al Gore in Flint, Michigan and for audiences at several events surrounding the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles.Appearances included concerts at the GRAMMY Foundation"s reception honoring Democratic Leadership and at a celebration in honor of Young Democrats, hosted by Karenna Gore Schiff.

GOO GOO DOLLS SET TO PERFORM AT DEMOCRATIC RALLY FOR VICE PRESIDENT AL GORE IN KANSAS CITY ON OCTOBER 18th; RALLY FOLLOWS FINAL PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION DEBATE IN ST.LOUIS.

Multi-platinum recording artists the Goo Goo Dolls are scheduled to perform in Kansas City on Wednesday, October 18th at a Democratic rally in honor of presidential candidate Vice President Al Gore. The rally takes place at 1PM at Frank A. Theis Park and follows Tuesday's final presidential election debate in St. Louis between the Vice President and Governor George W. Bush. Band members, John Rzeznik, Robby Takac and Mike Malinin have also accepted an invitation to attend the debate.

10/14/00 - As seen on The Daily Goo in both today's and yesterday's editions, Johnny Rzeznik and Robby Takac have taped promotions for and will be presenters on ABC's 2000 Radio Music Awards which will air live on November 4th! It should be a good show, and will be good to see them again after all of their time off.

10/13/00 - Ooooooh, it's Friday the 13th with a full moon! How eerie! That won't happen again for another 17 years, so enjoy it (or despise it) while you can. Personally, I'm not superstitious at all, but I still think it's cool.
