This CD is incredible. Every song has been remixed, without a 'heavy' and overburdening bass beat. Most of these versions were once legitimately released, but #5,6,8 & 9 have never and will never be legitimately released. This version of Pictures of You is the most haunting and realistically saddening version EVER released. It is a favorite of many. This CD is a 'must have' for collectors of truly awesome CURE sounds (along with everything else they have ever put out.)
Got to agree w/ Chris. This is a favorite
of my roomie Joseph and I to pop in the
CD Player and start bopping around to.
A definite must! -- "Bippoty, Boppoty."
When I bought this album, I thought it
would be a bunch or crappy copies of
records, but turned out to be the best
unofficial Cure album(let alone, of any
other band as well) ever!! Awesome sound,
Great songs, professionally done. I
highly recommend getting your hands on
this one.
It'd seem a lot of the stuff on this disk isn't all that contraband or
generally naughty mixes. It lists several of the tracks as being from the
12 inch versions of singles and the WCIBY? version is that from the Mixed Up
cassette Vinyl pops are present, but not as dominate as say the
KMKMKM b-sides on the Volume2 of the Complete b-sides boot. Also
interesting to note; the Art of Resurection Mix of
to the sky
has the order of verses all ballsed up.
On the whole I agree that it's a good boot, but the Boy's Don't Cry 12"
extended dance remix is, surprise, surprise, available on the
1986 Boy's Don't Cry 12" Nice to hear some decent quality from a
bootleg, and make Mixed Up complete without having to buy the
Tape or Vinyl..
