An excellent show from the pornography tour. One highlight is a live version of pornography, and forever. Definately worth the money if you enjoy this era of the cure. The sound quality is very good, no distortion.
This is a very clear CD and one of my favorites, although this recording
is off speed, it is slower than the actual play speed was. I know this
from Alternative Medicine and
other bootlegs of this show

Being an avid Cure fan, I try to acquire a complete
performance of excellent quality from each Tour the
Cure has embarked on. A L'oympia pretty much fits that bill,
since it has many of the gloomy-post punk songs we all
wish they would play live more often today! Sound quality
is great, especially since it was recorded waaaaayy back
in 1982 when 8-tracks were still around! :P Overall,
a great show for the era. I give it an "A".
As one of the final shows of the cut-short
14 Explicit Moments tour, you can see how
far the songs have progressed since the
beginning of the tour in April 82. In
particular, the beginning of Figurehead
is much more atmospheric, and the
improvised guitar on Pornography
is excellent - especially as this
concert has the "James Bond" riff
included. As a finale, is probably
the best ever version of Forever,
which has become known in it's own
right as "All I have to do is kill her".

Brilliant, just brilliant. Probably one of the best and most energic show cure has ever done. The sound quality is
perfect.
