I think "Living on a Prayer" is the best song of the 80s. It is one of my favorite songs.

I agreed with it. It really was THE song of the 80's (or maybe You Give Love a Bad Name). I think people forget just HOW big Bon Jovi was back then. U2 gained more popularity later on. (and With or Without You was on the countdown). One thing I didn't agree with on the top 20 - Duran Duran should be in it..but I would have went with "The Reflex" and they chose "Hungry Like the Wolf".

Actually, I think a lot of their choices seemed to reflect the popularity of the song's video in many cases. The more airplay the video got back then on MTV, the more popular the song was. I agree, The Reflex was awesome!

| I'll agree with that. They did mention the video a lot...and if they have/had a show on VH1 or MTV, even better. They plugged their reality stuff A LOT.

| I was watching a program called "Back In..." on Much More Music, a Canadian Music Channel, and they mentioned he did back up vocals for the chorus. It's really creepy I think. HAHA!

Lol, just reading the title of the thread, the first song that popped into my mind was "Livin' On a Prayer". I love that song. "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman is another one of my favorite 80s songs.
