Unfortunately, it's up to nmf to decide who gets trophies. I've only given out one trophy before...the dilapidated camel trophy...and I don't have it saved anymore, so I can't even give you that.

I saw a band I love last night called The Tragically Hip.
Background information since most Americans not in border cities will have no idea who they are:
They are older than GGDs
They have been a band longer than GGDs
They have a larger catalog than GGDs
They have released more largely successful singles than GGDs
They are way more famous in their native country Canada than GGDs are in the US (they can sell out Canadian arenas and stadiums easily)
They've played 3 shows on their US tour so far. Each show was 2 solid hours. Each show had 24 songs. THEY HAVE PLAYED 46 DIFFERENT SONGS IN 3 SHOWS and there is no indication they won't add more. They didn't play all of their biggest singles at each show and everyone survived.
All excuses about boring and unchanging setlists are invalid forever.
EDIT: With tonight's show, they've added 7 more new songs so 53 different songs in 4 shows...

That is a pretty damn impressive rotation. I'm not familiar with the band but I'm glad they went above and beyond to really give the fans something special!
Unfortunately for GGD I too have seen numerous bands in the last few years that I was way more impressed with for numerous reasons... but maybe I'm just jaded and bitter...
