For the recording of the GOO GOO DOLLS' seventh
album, "Gutterflowers," the band chose the garage
over the studio. "Figuring everything out in the
studio is just a big waste of money," frontman
JOHNNY RZEZNIK told Rolling Stone.
"You hang out in the garage and make noise until
it sounds like a song." The ROB CAVALLO-produced
album, which bassist ROBBY TAKAC says combines
the Goos' straight-ahead rock with "interesting
percussive kinda loopy things," will be
released in mid-November, and the group plans to
launch a small-venue tour to coincide with the
album.
