Garth Brooks Sells Out Two Concerts in Charlotte, NC
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Feb. 16, 1998--On Saturday (Feb. 14) Garth Brooks sold out two concerts at the Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte, N.C.
The shows, which sold out in less than three hours, are scheduled for March 20 and 21. Brooks sold over 46,500 tickets, edging past the building ticket sales record he set himself in 1993 (2 shows/46,150 tickets). Rounding out the top three on the venue's attendance record list is the Grateful Dead, who sold 37,000 tickets for two shows in 1991.
Brooks continues touring in North Carolina with shows at the Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem on Friday, March 27, and the UNC Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill on Friday, April 3. Tickets for the Winston-Salem show go on sale this Saturday, February 21. Ticket on-sale information for the Chapel Hill show will be announced later this month.
