No I'm not. I just have a really good friend who's helped me understand camera settings. She's taught me a ton about how to use the settings....especially in concert like lighting. And, the rest is just practice.

In really low lighting I've found that the shutter speed of 1/80 works really well. I also set the ISO to 400. Anything higher than that gives ALOT of pixelation. I also don't use a flash. I find it slows the camera down. |
| Thanks for the tips! I took a photography class and I tried to do those things on my mom's digital camera, but I couldn't figure it out... I don't even know if you can turn the flash off. I looked through the whole menu of the camera and I couldn't find anything to turn the flash off or adjust the shutter speed. And it takes really slow pics so they're either blurry or the subject moved out of the frame. I guess I'll have to buy my own camera, but I don't have any money now.

| I'll have to try those settings. I haven't figured out how to take good pictures in low light settings and at night. I usually have the ISO at 1600 for low light, but that results in a lot of noise and grainy pictures.

| Thanks Lauren. Carlyn....not every digital camera has the capability of changing shutter speed or aperature or even complete manual control. But you should be able to turn the flash off. Mine has a button on the top that is for flash only.
