He and his mom have been around for awhile. He was at the show at Ford Field when the Goos opened for Bon Jovi. He's gotten really big since the last time I saw him.

Shannon these are just absolutely amazing.

I have yet to take pictures as good as you do.

Nicole and I saw the kid and his mom waiting at the side throughout the Lifehouse show.

He looked so cute with his tattoos and everything.

Here's one. It's alright. Very clear I like it, I have a few videos I'm going to upload onto facebook.

I got a video for the majority of 1000 words...the only thing is that it's super blurry, but I don't care I just want the audio!!

That's an excellent picture. Very crisp and clear. I like how you did your name in the picture. What effect is that? I used emboss and wanted it to look like yours but obviously didn't. :-/

I can't wait to hear the audio. You can make an audio file from the video using Audacity.

Thanks, that was a very few of the clear ones I've got. I didn't get really good shots this time. Oh well...I'm still posting my good ones.

I used the Bevel and Emboss feature on Photoshop and this one is called a "pillow emboss" I just toyed around with the settings on it.

Is there a mac version of Audacity that you know of?

Thanks Denise. I seem to have a knack for photography so I enjoy sharing my photos. I'm a much better photographer than I am a writer. So I'd rather show the shows in picture form than written form.

AWESOME pictures, Shannon, thanks for putting them all up! I'm really impressed by how clear they are, whenever I try and take pictures they come out so blurry. I hope you had a great time at the concert.  :)

No matter how appealing the Cleveland show is I just can't do it. I just got the call today that my son starts soccer practice on Wednesdays. It's just a horrible day for me. I might have been able to pull it off if it was on a weekend. But it's just not happening this time.

Shannon what I did to make my watermark look like that was I added the type, then I used the magic wand to select the type layer, then I went to the picture layer and copied what was selected and made a new layer and pasted the copied part of the picture into that new layer and used the bevel and emboss.

I hope this works out for you.
It's a nice touch to posting pictures.

Once you do it a few times, you get used to it, it's second nature to you. :)

I tried it and it worked but it's really hard to see. Which font did you use? Yours is nice and chunky. And when you originally typed the text which color did you use....white for both foreground and background?

I used white for the foreground and black for the background.
The font colour doesn't really matter because it's not staying, you just want something you'll be able to see until you select them.

I used the font of Helvetica Bold (which you'll get once you get your mac ;)) But Arial is close to it and a good one to use as well.

You should play around with the bevel and emboss until you like what you see.

I read in one of the many Detroit threads someone had audio of the show...It may have been on the other board, but I know someone had it. Not sure if it was posted or not, but could someone lead me in the direction of it?

Woah all those pics are amazing!  How do you get so much color to show up?  Mine are usually dark and don't have much contrast.

Thanks Carlyn.

I set my camera to the setting that automatically sets the aperature (Tv setting on a Canon) and then I set the shutter speed myself. In really low lighting I've found that the shutter speed of 1/80 works really well. I also set the ISO to 400. Anything higher than that gives ALOT of pixelation. I also don't use a flash. I find it slows the camera down.

No I'm not. I just have a really good friend who's helped me understand camera settings. She's taught me a ton about how to use the settings....especially in concert like lighting. And, the rest is just practice.

Thanks for the tips!  I took a photography class and I tried to do those things on my mom's digital camera, but I couldn't figure it out... I don't even know if you can turn the flash off. :-/  I looked through the whole menu of the camera and I couldn't find anything to turn the flash off or adjust the shutter speed. :(  And it takes really slow pics so they're either blurry or the subject moved out of the frame.  I guess I'll have to buy my own camera, but I don't have any money now. :P

I'll have to try those settings. I haven't figured out how to take good pictures in low light settings and at night. I usually have the ISO at 1600 for low light, but that results in a lot of noise and grainy pictures. :-/

Carlyn....not every digital camera has the capability of changing shutter speed or aperature or even complete manual control. But you should be able to turn the flash off. Mine has a button on the top that is for flash only.
