John's switch from Guild to Taylor

Hey,
Has anyone heard why John switched from Guild to Taylor on this album. I thought he would be a Guild guy forever! Also, he's using Gibson instead of Fender for the electrics now too. Has anyone heard why?

No idea why, but it's annoying cuz as soon as i buy my Guild acoustic he switches to Taylor, NOT impressed hehe...but i still love my guitar

Don't know but don't buy one just because he is using it.
But what fits you. I don't like Taylor nor Guild. I prefer Fender Gibson, Ibanez, Martin, Arial Pro 2. Gretch, Zamatis. Charvel Jackson. Those are good.

Lol, no I didn't buy it just cuz John uses/used Guild...I got it because I played it in the shop and LOVED it, I also have a Fender and Tokai.

people will go out and buy something because someone else has one. Then they get shafted. lol
Like My best friend did.
He bought this Washburn, which normally they are good guitars. He got it because Ace or Paul ( don't listen to Kiss so don't know) from KISS had one.
It's a P.O.S!!! Poor guy. I don't want to tell him that because it would break his heart so, I tell him it's a great guitar.
Hope he doesn't read this lol

I heard Guild were taken over by Fender......does everyone know this already? Am I being dumb?
Maybe he doesn't like Fender or something....

Hey, yeah I think they were taken over by Fender, but John used to play Fenders too! He'd have Guild acoustics and Fender electrics; now he uses Taylor and Gibson..so  lol Perhaps Glen Ballard is a Taylor fan and got John hooked?

i think that john switched from guild to taylor because of sponsorship or he wanted to go for a different sound for the let love in album. i bought a guild acoustic after gutterflower because i really love the tone and feel of the guitar....... not to mention john is one of my guitar heroes so i knew that guild was the best way to go. i dont have much but my guild is one of my few prized possessions
