DirecTV Gets Into Podcasting ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- 9/15/2006 5:21:00 PM DirecTV will begin producing behind-the-scenes podcasts from its CD USA original concert series. Starting Saturday, the podcasts will be available every other Saturday through DirecTV’s video lounge (directv.feedroom.com), Apple Computer’s iTunes Music Store (www.itunes.com), the CD USA site (www.cdusa.com) and IGN.com (www.ign.com). The direct-broadcast satellite company said the podcasts -- lasting 2-3 minutes -- “will provide viewers with total backstage access to artists like Natasha Bedingfield, Goo Goo Dolls and Ne-Yo.” CD USA airs in standard-definition and HD on DirecTV channel 101 Saturdays at 6 p.m. (EST). http://www.multichannel.com/article/CA6372694.html?display=Breaking+News Yet another example of why I wish I had DirecTV instead of Dish.
