I'm in the market for a new cell phone and have been considering a Motorola Razr. Does anyone here have one? And, if so what do you think of it? I've been reading very mixed reviews about it so now I'm wondering if it's not such a good phone to buy. I'm also considering the Motorola E815.

Both my parentshave one, and they had no problems yet. They dont use them much though. Ive heard from quite a few people that they are quite faulty but from others that they are great. Tricky.

One of my friends has one, and he hates it. He said he gets terrible reception an the phone constantly drops calls. Which I'm very surprised about because every Motorola phone I've ever owned (including my current one) have been wonderful. I think part of the problem may be whoever the wireless provider is too. I've read good reviews about the ones through Verizon, but I've heard not-so-good things about the ones through Cingular. GOOd luck!!!

Thanks. I ended up getting the E815. The very knowledgeable salesman said that the Razr has a very low battery life and that many people end up having to charge them a couple times per day. The phone I ended up getting gets GREAT reception and a long battery life. I have Vcast free for a month so I have the internet on my phone right now ... just what I need  Now I'll never get off.

a couple of my friends have them and my one friend is fine with it but most of my friends hate theirs and the only reason they keep it is becuz it's the in phone to have. a lot of them say they break to easy like they don't just wipe off or pick up from a fall like most cell phones and the reception is horrible no matter where they are.

A friend of mine has the new Motorola Razr - a pink one - and she hates it. Says it has horrible reception, and she's always dropping calls, she wants to get rid of it pronto 
I have a Samsung, and I love it, very happy with it, has great reception, never drop calls, and every text message sends/receives
