I heard an interview with Paula about allowing her
song to be on Dawson's Creek, and she said that
she had repeatedly told "them" no. That is until
she spoke with Kevin Williamson, the creator of
Dawson's, and her explained to her that this show
was his life, his baby, so to speak, and he
believed that this song embodied the soul of his
creation. Paula watched the pilot and knew that
Kevin felt the same way about his show that she
does about her music. It may have been a little
about the money but that was only a small part of
it.
