It's not Paula's fault that mainstream America
latched on to this song and sucked dry its will
to live! She also did not record this song so
that the WB's answer to 90210 could use it as its
theme song. Those are just things that come when
you're talented. She didn't sell out. She was not
approached by these entities and asked to make
music that appeals to the Top 40 crowd. She makes
music that means something to her spiritually. I
think anyone who has heard an interview with her
knows she does not have a commerical bone in her
body. But when someone comes knocking with
millions of dollars in hand, most people answer
the door. I think that's just what she did. I bet
Paula is just as sick of that song as we are. And
I bet she has never seen one frame of Dawson's
