Mike D
Well the Independent (?) house or (on?) AK Dwella, I can tell you about now I’m not a fortune teller
Grab a treat from Yosi my muffin seller, got mad technique like Roodie Von Geller.

Adrock
And yes I got a plan, I’m gonna carry out it. It’s a pro choice I’m gonna scream and shout it. It’s a love vibe and I try not to doubt it. Yes I’m gonna party cause I’m ‘bout it, ‘bout it.

Yauch
When it rains I don’t use an umbrella, when I rhyme rhymes I use emdella (?). The link (or Ba-ling?) that will make you think like water that you love to drink.

Sample
NOW! Get Busy

Mike D
Sweet like a ? filled with new teller (Nuterller), creamy like Buffalo musorela. Stick’n around y’know I smell ya while I play you like a peanut and salt, shell ya.

Adrock
Now what could give a fuzz if you think you’re a baller. I get so many who nee (need?) rap you fast baller. Middle school rapper and a proud yes yaller. Think about your Grandma, go ahead call her.

Yauch
From the East coast so I don’t say “heller”, at the mic stand my performance is steller. Pop the tape in and I listen to feller, a little shout to Nelson Mandela (spelling?)

Sample
NOW! Get Busy.

(scratching)

Mike D
No when the words make you scream and holler, I’m counting Cool D clean out my dollar. Give a shout to Spiros for Cha Walla (?) I’m a student of the game and a bonified scholar.

Adrock
Soooooo…ease up on the palms that ease there coffin, buttons on the table now watch it soppin’, brining in those beats and I’m a bring them huffin, I’m a keep rapping when I’m in my coffin.

Yauch
Like a mind gone mad that is unwinding, in a padded room, the rooms you’re climbing. Don’t sign on the line ? finding. Get to get loose and find the linein’.

Sample
NOW! Get Busy.

(scratching NOW! Get Busy)

Taco Zip has then gone one step further and mixed a promo with another snippet found on Kazza and has made this (Right-click and Save). Download the promo here (Right-click and Save). Pre-order the explicit version here and the clean version here. Thanks to 'mullethead0' off the Temp MB for brining this to my attention.

Also I found this site, it is a Beastie Boys Fan Collector's site so if you are interested in seeing what other people have or like to trade then this is a great site because it is updated regularly.

I talked to Minton tonight and he had the following to say:
What's up with the site?
Things will be added gradually, news included if there is some before we have a full site up. It's all planned, don't worry..I keep hearing from people who are worried and near tears because their site is 'down'. It's not 'down' we're doing all of this as part of the album promotion, and it's going to be fucking good. It's promotion. We know what we're doing.
Who's idea was it?
A bunch of people, band included.
How long wll the site be down for?
Can't really say too much at this stage..but it's going to be pretty quick. We have a lot of cool stuff, just a matter of sorting out what we're going to get out there and how it will be done. People just need to be patient, that's all there is to it. Like it or not.
Is that pic on the front page the album cover?
No comment about that right now. Little known fact though - that photo is one Yauch has on display in his apartment. We'll release coverart when people are allowed to see it i think.
Will it be the drawing of the twin towers like they said in Billboard?
You'l see.
Will the new site design be on the MB as well or will we have to wait for a new MB skin too?
If we decide to reskin the whole site, the board will be done too.
Are you also updateing the MB software?
It's on the agenda, fairly straight forward to do I think. We might do that now or later though, not top priority.
Is Ch-Check it Out comeing out on April 28th at stores as well as on radio?
Radio/iTunes 28th. Haven't got info just yet on anything esle. And can I also say, that right now i'm eating some greek lamb and it's fucking good.

I doubt you all want to read the rest of our discussion about the lamb so that's it.

Taco Zip has provided us with the flash file from BeastieBoys.com. "Right-Click" and "Save Targert As..." here to download it.

A lot of people have asked me what's up with this so I asked Minton who said:
"we're doing this as a new design - content is going to be gradually added back including a lot of cool stuff...not sure yet when we'll bring mb back."
I have set up a Temp. MB here. You don't have to register to post but you can if you want to. Please spread the word about this.

Also About.com has reported that the new single will be avaliable on iTunes on April 28th:
"The Beastie Boys are putting their first single from their new album up on iTunes. Called "Ch-Check It Out," the tune will be available on April 28th, the very day the tune hits the radiowaves."
iTunes is only avaliable to people who are in the US so everyone one else will just have to buy the CD, why you'd buy the mp3 and not the CD is beyond me though.

The Herald Sun (an Australian Newspaper) has reported here that "The album will be released in June. Beastie Boys will then head out on a world tour."

xavito, from the Message Board, has posted a link, here, to a promo poster for the new album avaliable on ebay. It says "the hiatus is back off, again" which is a reference to a poster from the Paul's Boutiqye era which reported that "the hiatus is off".

Laver1968 found out that over at Rock On TV, they have reported that "Ch-Check It Out" will be played on a show called 'The OC'. See more information on the show here. Read the original post here.

Stoffel has posted a new promo image here. It's fresh!

New Audio has been uploaded to the Audio page, get it while it's there.

14 04 04

"Ch-Check It Out" will be heard on the radio on April 27th.

Taco Zip has remixed "Sure Shot", you can download it here. Also read down the page and you will see Adam Yauch's own comments on the track, "nice". Now that's cool, congratulations Taco! Also Yauch goes on to say that if you post requests of all the accapellas you want then he will see if he can get them. These will most likely apear on a part of the official site that will host accapellas and links to remixes.

In other news, some more smilies were added to the Message Board, yea!
And remember to paste these banners all over your website!
Oh, and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Minton! Keep up the good work.

12 04 04

The Official site has confirmed the information provided in the Billboard article by posting the tracklisting. They have also posted some banners for websites so that you can promote the new album, check them out here in the A/V section under the icons.

If you are curious what 'The 5 Boroughs' are then Minton has posted the answer here. He says "Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island." Minton also mentioned on the Message Board that the Beastie Boys have recorded their video for their first single last week (sorry I can't find the post), the first single will be "Ch-Check It Out".

Also for all your Beastie Boys Tab needs head over to this site. You will find Tabs for the Guitar and Bass from all of the Beastie Boys albums.

Deep_Sea_Rain has also posted a link, here, to a Rolling Stone article were Adam Yauch (MCA) writes about Public Enemy, it's a good article too.

Make sure you wantch the news page on the Official site for updates on new releases.

I have added the link for the Dead Boys song in the Audio page and I will be adding more requested Audio soon.

UPDATE
Minton has mentioned that there is a new single and video comeing out very very soon in no less than 3 threads on the Message Board; here, here, here and he says here that the new single will be out in a few weeks.

Also in the Billboard article (see below) they mentioned that "In front of a chopped-up sample of the Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer," the group finds solace in the city's post-September 11th resiliency". Well I have uploaded the Dead Boys' track for everyone to take a listen to. Download it here. Let me know if it came out ok, as my PC was buffering a bit.

Also it seems the news of the new album has caught on, just check out Google News, here.

Anyone who has visited the Message Board lately will notcie some things have been changeing. First off the Board has been given a major re shuffle so now it makes more (or less) sense. Unfortunatley the BS2000 section has been turned off, but it may come back. Read the official post about the re shuffle here and the post about the BS2000 section here.

Also the Official site has added some new about the Summer Sonic show here.
Trond E also pointed out that on the Nasty Little Man release schedule, the Beastie Boys next album is in the June / July section. This probably means nothing though, they probably just put the June and July releases into the same section.

There's an article on the new album posted on Billboard and Yahoo (here and here). People have posted comments to the artcile on this Yahoo site. The article says that the new album is called "To The 5 Boroughs" and the tracklisting is as follows:

Ch-Check It Out
Right Right Now Now
3 The Hard Way
Time To Build
Rhyme The Rhyme Well
Triple Trouble
Hey Fuck You
Oh Word?
That’s It That’s All
All Lifestyles
Shazam!
An Open Letter to NYC
Crawlspace
The Brouhaha
We Got The

I guess "That’s It That’s All" is what we have been calling "That's It (Fresh For You)". The only big problem with the article is that it says "To the 5 Boroughs" features largely programmed backing tracks, with only a handful of live instrumentation." but the Beastie Boys have said that their new album will feature only hip hop.

Nygel has also uploaded a new remix here. I haven't heard it yet but I am sure it's great. You must register with Acid Planet to download the song.

06 04 04

Taco Zip has posted on the Message Board some news everyone will want to read. The Beastie Boys are set to play Japan in August! They will be playing at the Summer Sonic to be held August 7-8 in Osaka and Chiba. Read news here. Official Summer Sonic Tour site here.

Uru-Nitro has posted his new remix online. It is a remix of "That's It" which the Beastie Boys have been playing live, it is amazing and is a must download! More information here.

Funky49 has also found this site. It's from Q magazine and it says you could win 25 Pounds (thats UK money) by asking the Beastie Boys a question. I would imagine this means they are going to interview the Beastie Boys for an upcoming issue. If you have ever read Q magazine (from the UK) then you'll know whats going on. This is for real so send in all your Beastie questions now!

You can read about it here at Minton's site. Also for those who need to be reminded who Tick is then take a look at these pages that Google pulled up.

Also Minton has announced here, on the Message Board, that there will be applications to be on the Beastie Boys street team avaliable soon.

04 04 04

Minton has announced that the next Beastie Boys album will be released June 15th. Minton said "June 15 is correct. That's the target anyway" over at this thread. Also in the same thread you can read about how you can already pre-order the still untitled album from Columbiahouse.

29 03 2004

Great news! xavito off the Message Board has posted that there will be two Beastie Boys show (so far) this year! Read the post here. According to his source the Beastie Boys will play the following venues on 27-29 Aug 2004; Carling Weekend - Reading Festival and Carling weekend - Leeds Festival 2004. This information was sourced from Virtual Festivals. While your at the site, check out the Gallery.

Also to anyone who has downloaded the Hurra's Shaftman in the Audio section you might have to download it again, it seems it wasn't the full track, I ghave fixed this now though. The full track goes for 3:18.

28 03 2004

Most of the errors that were brought to my attention were fixed in $5 Extra 2.2.

New songs are now avaliable on the Audio page, I hope to change them again soon though.

25 03 2004

It's $5 Extra Issue 2 is finally done! Read it here. Please make leave comments on the Forum :)
Make sure you enter the new Beastie Boys CD Cover Contest. Details inside $5 Extra.

Also it has been reported that the Beastie Boys will apear on Dan The Automatour's new solo album. Dan says this in the linar notes in "Bird Up: A Hip Hop Tribute to Charlie Parker".

21 03 2004

Deep_Sea_Rain from the Message Board recently asked Posdnous from De La Soul why MCA did not apear on 'Squat' which featured Mike D and Adrock on De La's 'Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump'.
He answered:
"His wife had just gave birth. The Beasties had sought of made a pack to chill for a while and it seem he could see that Tommy Boy would want to make it a video and single and have them commited to appear with us so i guess he was like naw....he's chillin.I respect that."
Read the thread on the Message Board here or read were Posdnous replied here.

19 03 2004

Just to let you know, the next issue of $5 Extra will be out very soon, I promise. It will also come with an apology and excuse as to why it is so late.
Some Avators / AIM Icons have been uploaded over at BeastieBoys.com in the A/V section.

Also if you want to hear an interview from the Beastie Boys in 1994 then click here. IF the link doesn't work then go here, click on the B and click on Beastie Boys. I put this in the News last year but the webmaster was promoting the site again so I thought I'd ad it. Enjoy.

Finally, Beastiemania has interviewed Doug Pomeroy here. And if you feel like takeing a visit to were Celebration studio was the there's a map here.

16 03 2004

Some accapellas were uploaded last week for remixes here by DJ Skrilla here. Also Joe's Beastie Boys page has been redesigned and includes some unreleased Audio and the video to Intergalactic.

Also check out Nick Jade's laid back remix of Hey Ladies here and The Mighty Ajax's remix of Negotiation Limerick File here. Both are well worth the download.

05 03 2004

37 Questions with Yauch has been uploaded to the Beastie Boys website here. It's a great interview with the usual Beastie humour which will help Yauch bashers see that he is definately an active part of the group. Yauch mentions ideas of adding accapellers and instrumental files to the site for remixers, that this is not the last Beastie Boys album, confirms he is working with Bad Brains on their album, that Mario C and Money mark will not working on the new Beastie Boys album and that the Beastie Boys are producing the next album them selves. It's great and definately worth the read.

By the way, I guess most of you know this but Yauch made a post a few days ago in this thread. I have been meaning to psot it but haven't until now. In the post he says that the Beastie Boys never smoked dust.

I'll be changeing the Audio soon in the Audio section so if you want to download Hurra's "Can't Trust A Nigga on Dope" and the Beastie Boys live cover of OASIS' "Wonderwall" then make your way to the Audio page. Also if you want to request a track then make a post in the Forum. I will be changeing the tracks maybe a few times a month.

Also, I have been meaning to post this for a while too, Silbrey has brought back his BBMA as a yahoo group here. It currently has 14 members, so join if you want some free mp3s of remixes

And last of all I am going to add a Random Beatie Quote Generator to the site for when your bored so if you have a favourite lyric quote then post it here or on our Forum.. Hopefully the new issue of $5 Extra will be up before then (sorry about the mad delay people).

01 03 2004

Over at Pitch Fork Media they have announced that the new Beastie Boys album will be released on June 8th.There still isn't a name for the album as of yet. I have asked Nasty Little Man to confirm but at this momment I have not heard back from them. Thankyou to senbei off the Message Board for bringing this to our attention.

I have added a Forum so you can request tracks and tell me when I mess stuff up as well as reporting news.

25 02 2004

Yauch posted again in this thread about the Beastie Boys cover version of OASIS' Wonderwall. There are also links to were you can download the song.
Minton has also made a thread were you can post your questions Yauch here but get in quick before the thread gets closed. To quote Minton:

"Here's your opportunity to ask Yauch a question. Simply post it here. Once everyone has had an opportunity to post, I'll take some of the questions to Adam and he'll try and answer as many as he can. Then we'll bring it back in the form of a Q&A section on the site, or something like that. We haven't figured out the format for that just yet.

Please understand that he might not be able to get to all questions due to time constraints - i.e. if you want the new album in June, it's not likely that he will be able to get to them all . Go for it, I'll leave this for a bit until everyone has had a chance to ask a question if they want to."

Dan has announced the release of his BS2000 inspired XMPlay skin. You can download it here.

Also for those that have not seen it, Taco Zip made some screenshots from the Spike Jonze DVD which you can see here. In the screenshots you get to see their studio. The DVD is part of the Director's Series and you can buy it from Amazon here.

That's about all except that I updated some FAQ questions so they were more "correct". I also added question 7.16 after it came up on the Message Board. Also I added an Audio page. See above for link.

22 02 2004

Welcome back. It's been a while.

As you can see the site is back up and newly designed. You may or may not notice that some things are no longer on this site. That's because Beastiemania has them and there's no point me doing stuff that they do better.
There was only really three reasons to come to this site and they're News, Downloads and $5 Extra. Now I have added the huge FAQ that I have been talking up for a while, I hope it does not disapoint. I will be adding a FAQ about the Message Boards there later when I have time.
Another part of the site that will be added later is the Image page which will have the stuff from the old page as well as some new Money Mark pictures and more.

I am interested in what you think about the site so please let me know by emailing me at [email protected] please also make the subject 'Beastie Boys' or I may mistake it as Spam and delete it.

A lot has happened since the site went down so I will try and sumarise it all here.

BeastieBoys.com got a new design which includes skins so you can choose what the page looks like. Minton has said they are going to make a template avalible soon so that people can make their own versions too.
The Message Board then got a new design too which I love. The only problem is that the image that tells you when someone has replied to a post by you looks exactly the same as the other ones so you sometimes don't know wether someone has replied or not.
A new section was added yesterday called BeastieBoys.com were you can post all your problems with the site and the Administrators will do there best to help you.

A date has been set for the album release, it will be released this June 2004. I added a coundown to June on the front page which you can watch when your bored.

An email was sent out by the Beastie Boys, which you can read here, were they said:

"I know, you're like "what's up fool? where's the record!!??!!?........." well, we are in the studio finishing it now, so ease up already and don't call me fool, fool. we're putting the final touches on the mixes right now and it will be out beginning of june. so we'll be seeing you in a hot new york minute...... until then cool your jets, step back, relax and ease off the throttle. the shit's on it's way, no delay..... and always remember when things get hot -- it's not the heat, it's the humidity......."

Also recently Adam Yauch (MCA) has been posting on the Message Board.Click here to see all of Yauch's posts.

Also a few weeks back the Beastie Boys apeared on the BBC's Radio 1 In New York show. Take a look at these two links for more information, Link1 and Link2.

That's all that I can think of for now although I am sure I missed some stuff.
