Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting is the national media watch group offering well-documented criticism in an effort to correct bias and imbalance. FAIR focuses public awareness on the narrow corporate ownership of the press, the media's allegiance to official agendas and their insensitivity to women, labor, minorities, and other public interest constituencies. FAIR seeks to invigorate the First Amendment by advocating for greater media pluralism and the inclusion of public interest voices in national debates.

http://members.xoom.com/freepeltier/index.html

Leonard Peltier is a Native American activist imprisoned since 1977 for the deaths of two FBI agents. These two agents precipitated a deadly shootout (a Native American was killed as well) and a subsequent FBI and U.S. Marshal dragnet of a South Dakota Pine Ridge Indian Reservation by invading the reservation while following a young Native American man accused of stealing a pair of used cowboy boots. Charges were dropped against all four men accused of the murders but Leonard Peltier. He was convicted and sentenced to two life terms despite massive FBI and judicial misconduct.

The NCDM is composed of people wanting to work in the US for profound social change by supporting the national movement for democracy in Mexico. It is the structure recognized by the EZLN (Zapatista Army of National Liberation) for coordinating support in the United States. The NCDM is both a national information and advocacy center and a national network of independent local activist committees. It was commissioned by Sub-Comandante Marcos in July of 1994 because of "the necessity to organize those in the United States who have tried to help our cause through diverse means and are interested in receiving truthful and timely information about our struggle."
