Althought no 'rarest tracks' - as promised on the cover, still a decent Swing Tour bootleg.

Venues: London, TV studio (1); Sao Paolo, Jan.'96 (2-5); London, Studios, 26.4.96 (6-7); Messehalle 7, Leipzig, 20.11.96 (8-13); Deutschlandhalle, Berlin, 13.11.96 (14-16); Adrenalin Village, London, 7.5.96 (17, original, eh?)

Picture on the front has Robert grinning, holding a can of..?, on the back there's a picture of Bob on stage. Sound quality is okay, not superb.

This has some great songs from the 96 tour. Although the sound varies from show to show, it is still very much listenable. There are great versions of Gone, Friday I'm in Love, and Grinding Halt. The highlight is an excellent live version of the 13th. Plainsong is just plain fabulous !!! Now for the dislikes. I found Pictures of You to be uninspiring. The adrenaline club version is also on here, but it's cut short. Ironic considering thats the cover song.

The Friday I'm in Love performance is better than the one on Show. Plainsong is, of course, great, but in the beginning the drums aren't loud enough (the shocking effect of the sudden Music-wall after the soft intro isn't there). Play For Today is too slow, I think, but the 13th and Grinding Halt are great.

This is a fairly decent bootleg from the WMS tour. I was most impressed, however, by Prayers for Rain, Grinding Halt, Plainsong, Gone, and the 13th. These songs in particular made the disk worth buying.

The rarest tracks of '96 ??? Really ? Well, not so rare actually !!! That CD is very disappointing. First, I've got hard times to figure out the rare out of the usual... Sorry, I must be drunk or someting ! STRANGE ATTRACTION doesn't live up to what one could expect from a CD with such a title. While some of tracks' sound is pretty good, some others just simply sound cheap (the recording of the show given at Messehalle 7, Leipzig, 20/11/96, comes to mind). Furthermore, the STRANGE ATTRACTION track is incomplete !!! But not to worry, you can find it on NEW SONGS (it has been recorded the same date). The only rare stuff I can find are the SHIVER AND SHAKE, GRINDING HALT, Hot !x3 and GONE ! with female backvocals). Not too impressive...
