Emma
took a holiday in January to the sunny sands of Barbados with her mum, dad,
brother, and boyfriend - Mark Verquese. The news that she has a boyfriend may
come as a shock to her biggest fans, but Emma needs loving, so she can't stay
single forever, right?
Here's Emma wearing a green swimming costume,
making a few adjustments, with her mum, Pauline. They stayed in a five star
hotel where nobody recognised the blonde Spice Girl.
Someone said she looked like anything but a pop star! Perhaps the absence of her
kitchey outfits and the other four girls somewhat blended her into the
surroundings with the other holiday makers.
Apparently she likes playing bingo
which isn't exactly the spiciest thing in the world to do, but I bet she shouts
the loudest when she wins! Her delicate fair skin got a little sunburt at the
beginning of the holiday so she stay indoors for a day to be on the safe side.
Emma
brought her boyfriend with her (note the East 17 trousers!) and he's probably in
his late 'teens. Both are described as being "very much in love"
which is a little upsetting for her greatest male fans. Never mind, I think
there are two Spice Girls left who are
single!
UPDATE: In March Emma broke up with Mark because, she
says, her busy life with the Spice Girls doesn't give her enough free time to
spend with Mark so it's not working. Don't worry, Emma. There are millions of
guys who would be happy just to see you once in their lifetime!
One of Britain's top newspapers made
a fuss about Emma's figure after they received photographs of her wearing a
tight green swimsuit. They called her "well rounded" and compared her
shape to her mum, Pauline. The journalist in question is out of order and needs
a big dose of reality - there must be millions of girls who would love a figure
like Emma's and indeed millions of guys who would cherish a girlfriend with
curves similar to hers.
Stick insect supermodel figures are fabricated
by the fashion industry to appear as "the figure every girl should have".
They have a lot to answer for. I'm sure you'd agree that Emma looks great, very
well, and totally hugable!
