November 19, 2000: Letter from Tony Kanal

This letter was sent to members of Team Saturn

"Dear Friends,
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you on behalf of the whole band for all the support you have given us on our Return of Saturn album.  Our entire ROS experience, from writing and recording the album to once again being able to tour around the world and share our songs with people everywhere, has been incredible.  As you may know, we just returned from a tour of Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Australia, and Hawaii, and needless to say it was one of the most enjoyable tours we have ever done.  Not only were the shows incredible but we had so much fun together we are now inspired to start working on some new music.  The crowd responses worldwide have been heightened by all the promotion you have done for us on the internet.  We want to let you know how much we appreciate the No Doubt sites you have built, the online voting you have done, and the emails you have sent spreading the news about ROS.  Thank you.  Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,
Tony Kanal
NO DOUBT"

November 15, 2000: MTV Europe Music Awards

from MTV Europe

Moby will perform on the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards, maybe he will sing "South Side" with Gwen

>> I got an email from Patrick from the NDIFC and he wrote this:
"I just wanted to let you know that I just got it confirmed from two of my sources at the No Doubt management that Gwen will NOT be performing with MOBY at the MTV Music Awards Europe."

November 15, 2000: Gwen on MTV

from Paul from K-Doubt Radio

Gwen will be appearing on MTV's Top 100 greatest pop songs of all time. Though it's not on the website I just saw a commercial for it where it showed her from the "South Side" video on MTV saying she'll be appearing the week of 11.20: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri @ 10 PM (ET/PT), 9 PM (CT) for the countdown from song 100 to 41. I'm not sure which date. Stay tuned.

November 9, 2000: South Side

from moby online

For those of you who are interested in giving your copy of Play to a friend, or need to replace the one that was left in the back seat of your car, wait just one month longer! V2 Records will be packaging a "South Side" CD single with "Play" starting November 28th. This single contains the new version with Gwen Stefani's vocals.

This CD single will be sold separately starting November 7th. There will be a CD5 available as well, on November 28th. It will feature mixes by Pete Heller and Hybrid.

November 8, 2000: New album

from  Patrick Larsen from NDIFC.com

To give you the latest and most accurate information, straight from Gwen Stefani. Me and her were talking about where this tour would end while we were relaxing on a couch backstage at the Zepp, Tokyo Sep. 30th.

She said something that surprised me, she told me that she can't wait to get off road and start writing songs for the new studio album in November! So you bet this is a reliable source.

Then I asked both Tony and Gabe how it would be possible to have a new album out next year, so soon considering the fact that it took the  last album took such a long time to finish. Tony explained that it would be different this time, because last time when they went into the studio they were exhausted, after being on the road for more than 26 months without a break. They needed to find themselves first, and that took a while.. working with three different producers. This time its different, and there is a little less pressure I think.

So this is not a rumour, its a fact!

November 8, 2000: 4th single

from  Patrick Larsen from NDIFC.com

Gabrial McNair told the NDIFC a few weeks ago that if there will be another single it will be "Magics in the Makeup". Which makes sense, because the promosingle that was sent out in early February this year contained 4 tracks: "Ex-Girlfriend", "Simple Kind of Life", "Batwhater" and "Magics in the Makeup".

November 5, 2000: Appearances

from mtv.com

This week, Souldecision, Adam Sandler, Gwen Stefani, and Pauly Shore will visit TRL. Gwen will be on TRL on Tuesday November 7th.

Also, don't forget the Late Show with David Letterman tomorrow, when Gwen sings with Moby.

November 5, 2000: Bathwater on the Radio Music Awards

from the Magic of No Doubt

No Doubt recently performed on the ABC Radio Music Awards 2000! They played Bathwater, and it went over very well. Gwen was all bonde with the sparkly-crotch black pants and the two... bumps on her head like she did on ESPN. She was hot! =) They played a semi-rocked up version, and it was definately worth seeing. They were nominated for "Most Requested Artist" but, sadly, did not win. Hey, but they haven't built up any steam yet... just wait until next year!
