Fred Durst Promises "Something Special" On Family Values Live Set

What does Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst have up his sleeve for the upcoming Family Values live album and video?

We don't know, but Durst says it will be "something special."

Of course, Korn led the way during Family Values' inaugural run in 1998 and was consequently a heavy presence on the live CD and video that captured that tour. However, Limp Bizkit and signer-turned-director Durst were in the cockpit this time around and are hoping to spice things up a bit with the second edition of the Family Values live collection.

"It's a different world today, and traditional things have been played out and really burnt down," Durst told the MTV Radio Network. "I think you've got to go the extra mile and do something special for everybody, and I'm still trying to figure that one out."

As we previously reported, a live album and home video will hit stores early next year and will capture Limp's time on the road with Filter, Method Man, Redman, and other familiar Family Values faces.

Never ones to rest, Durst and Limp Bizkit are currently on the road with Method Man, Redman, and System Of A Down on what is being billed as the Billionaire Pirates Tour. That outing wraps up next week in Las Vegas, and here's where you can catch it:

  • 11/17 - Montreal, QC @ Molson Centre
  • 11/18 - Toronto, ON @ Toronto Skydome
  • 11/20 - Peoria, IL @ Civic Center Arena
  • 11/21 - Omaha, NE @ Omaha Civic Auditorium
  • 11/22 - Madison, WI @ Dane Co. Expo Ctr. Col.
  • 11/23 - Las Vegas, NV @ Hard Rock Hotel - The Joint

Fred recently spoke with the Chemical Brothers about a collaboration and was laughed at. "They said I'm getting fat," reported Durst. "I hope they spelled it with a p-h." According to a rude editor for Rolling Stone magazine, "That's with a capital F, guy."
