11/29/01 - A new CD has been released, entitled "The Concert for New York". You can buy it by clicking here! The Goos are on disk 1. Thanks Jeff!

As most of you know and have seen, John Rzeznik plays guitar for a portion of a new GAP commercial. Check out the press release on the GAP's new ad campaign! Thanks Alex!

11/27/01 - Yesterday the Daily Goo made mention about the Goos' listening to Tom Lord Alge mix their new album. They listened to him mix the first song entitled "Think About Me". The Daily Goo also said something worth quoting:

"we're zonin' in on a finished project folks. . . . . . . . we're real, real proud of this one. . . . . . . . . Gutterflower . . . . . . out Spring 2002. . . . . . . . . . . . ."

Real, real proud! It's time to get excited and geared up for this, folks. In a little more than a few months we're going to have the Goos' next album at hand.

I'd like to thank Patty once again for her contributions to our Discography, which needs some serious contributions from you folks as well. Look it over, and send in any information about a CD you have that isn't listed to [email protected]. Be sure to include the following information: Title, Track Listing, Catalog Number, Release Date(/year), and also mention if it's an import/promo/etc. Thanks! ...There will not be an update tomorrow as I won't be available to update the site. The Goos are tracking again today and will be mixing their upcoming album Gutterflowers with Tom Lord Alge via a cross-continental communications system starting tomorrow.

11/24/01 - Some very important news I haven't touched yet is about the Goos performing LIVE in late January. Here's the scoop: The Goos will be performing at the PGA Phoenix Open on January 23rd, and will also be performing on January 24th at The Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada at 8PM(21+ show, tix on sale NOW at ticketmaster.com or 702-474-4000). The real question about these live appearances will be this: Will the Goos be performing new material from their upcoming album, or, more importantly, will their next album be released by then? That all remains to be discovered.

11/23/01 - The voting will commence as of NOW! Our contest to see who can come up with the best mock-cover for the Goo Goo Dolls' next album entitled Gutterflowers has come to a close and now it is time to put it to a vote! The only rule is you can have only one ballot per person. If we find anyone has violated this rule to benefit any one person, there will be severe consequences, including the possible disqualification of entries. We trust that you will abide by that rule. Also, we invite you not to vote with a bias because of who made it, but judge it solely by its merits.

You will be ranking 18 entries on a scale of 1 to 10. The entry with the highest average will be awarded an AUTOGRAPHED 8x10 of the Goo Goo Dolls! Good luck!

11/20/01 - Today we have a couple more entries for our contest for an autographed 8x10 of the Goos(see our 11/6 update), one from Grace and the other entry from Kaspar! Hurry, tomorrow is the last day you can enter!

11/19/01 - Joel sent me his entry for our contest we're holding here for an autographed 8x10 of the Goos(see our 11/6 update for more details)! You have only until Wednesday to get your entries in, and then we're going to have a big vote! It'll be in the form of a slideshow, and the order of the entries will be random and anonymous so people will be grading them by the entry alone, hopefully.

After filling out a ballot, which will be rating each entry on a scale of 1-10, the final step of putting the ballot into the ballot box will be clicking on a link provided to you in an automated email sent to your email address right after you're done filling out the ballot. This ensures that there is only one ballot per email address, so people are only allowed to vote once. Voting will start shortly following the last day of the contest.

11/11/01 - Today's edition of the The Daily Goo, #499, has a couple of interesting behind-the-scenes pics to look at. Also, more info on their art meetings for the CD cover. Tomorrow for edition #500, they are going to offer sneak peeks at their art for the Gutterflowers album, there's also going to "havin' a gigantic prize closet clearing. . . . . . . . . . .i mean, we've got a new record comin' out soon right ?, we're gonna need the shelf space. . . . . . " -- so get ready for something big on GooGooDolls.com tomorrow.

Meanwhile, we're cleaning our closets here, giving away an AUTOGRAPHED 8x10 of the Goo Goo Dolls!! We need more entries from you guys, we only have TWO so far, so the competition isn't very tough to speak in quantitative terms. As a side note, make SURE that when you request to be added to one of the chat directories, that you make sure I can understand the LOCATION field. I've received a couple of entries like "IC" and "Ringgold" which I have no idea where they are. Unless they're in Inner Mongolia, please be more specific.

11/6/01 - Wow, has it really been 4 days? We're going to spice things up here. We're giving away an AUTOGRAPHED 8x10 of the Goo Goo Dolls!! Here's how it will work. The Goos are currently having art meetings for the cover of their next album. So, if you were the Goos' artist, what would you design for the title "Gutterflowers"?

This is a contest where you can submit your own piece of artwork that corresponds to the Gutterflowers title. There is no limit as to how large the piece of artwork can be, but you can only enter once. Once you're entered, it's done, you can't switch entries. Start sending your entries in to [email protected] and we'll take a look at each of the entries. The best, most creative piece of artwork will win the contest and I will personally email Robby Takac the winning picture with your email address with it. Good luck! This contest will conclude on Wednesday, November 21st. I will occasionally post entries that I think are outstanding. So, get your entries in!
