Although the concert was not a sell out, the audience that was there had enough enthusiasm to fill the arena. It was a benifit concert to help Kentucky Harvest, so they collected can goods at the door. With opening acts by Frogpond and Fastball, the GooGooDolls already had a pumped crowd, with crowd surfing and all. You couldn't move through the crowd once the GooGooDolls took the stage, and I wouldnt have wanted to give up my spot any ways. I was front and center, and very happy to have my camera!! When Rzeznik and the rest of the Goo's took the stage, screaming teens, and flashing cameras filled the room. With opening song Dizzy, the mood was set and stayed through out the show. The crowd really liked it when they played "Name", off their older album a "Boy Named Goo," and of coarse a wave of swaying arms and lighters filled the crowd with smash hit "Iris."

I liked the way Jonny really worked the audience, he would smile and point at the crowd, and I'm sure I'm not the only girl in that room that thought or wished he was looking at me. He seemed like such a nice guy, he even stopped playing when a fight broke out. He told them they could have their 20 dollars back but he didnt want that going on in his concert. It was a very rough, sweaty pit of people, but I'll have to say I loved every minute of it and would do it all over again.

The stage setting was awesome, and the background changed for each song. I like how he had different guitars for each song. At the end of the show when Jonny tried to smash his guitar, he threw it across stage 4 or 5 times, and only one of the knobs fell off. I think he might have been kind of embarrased but hey...I don't think it means he's not strong=) he must just play with good guitars!! Of coarse he threw his picks out to the audience too...who scrambled to get them; me being lucky enough to be one of those few who got one. Athough I might have gotten kicked in the head a few times and knocked around a lot I would have to say last nights concert was one of the best I've ever been to and i can't wait for them to come back to Louisville again!
