Let me start with just an overview and say that this concert totally kicked ass!!! I never thought that I would have as much fun as I did. The Goo’s are certainly a magical group to catch live.
First, Fastball was ok. They weren’t doing too badly until they tried playing a country song. That one totally lost the crowd for them. Sugar Ray was awesome. Mark McGrath had a little Tiki Bar on the side of the stage and was drinking during the whole thing. He really knows how to put on a show.
The Goo Goo Dolls came out and played an awesome set. I know that these are the songs they played, but I don’t know if it’s the correct order or not:
Dizzy
Long Way Down
Lazy Eye
Naked
Slide
Another Second Time Around
Black Balloon
January Friend
Full Forever
Just the Way You Are
There You Are
Burnin Up
Name Acoustic #3
Iris
Two Days In February
It was great to hear them play some of the songs off of Hold Me Up and SSCW (my personal favorite). Although they didn’t play my favorite song (Stop the World), I still had the time of my life. The only thing that got on my nerves was that some guy was trying to hit me because I wouldn’t sit down. I’m sorry, but number one, if you want to sit, get a lawn seat: and number 2, the Goos are too awesome live, to just sit and watch. You have to get up and get into it, you can’t help it! This guy knew like only one song—Iris, go figure. I hate people like that.
Anyway, the concert was great, and I can’t wait until I get the chance to see them again. GOOS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
