Bristow, VA - Nissan Pavillion

Nissan was fun even though it was real humid. I must admit that it's a bit of a let down to see them play in the large shed as an opener. I realize that after the 9:30 Club show last March, all other shows would be a disappointment. The guys played very well but there were few people in my section that were really into them. It was so amazing to here All Eyes On Me and they added a terrific guitar solo to it. On the whole, the set seemed rushed without the usual John stories but they played really well. I hope they converted a few Jovi fans to them. I left right after the Goos - not a Jovi fan - and it was nice to get home at a decent hour (especially since I had to be at work by 8am). All in all, it was a good crowd but they were definitely there for Bon Jovi. BTW: My cousin's band Lennex played on the second stage. They are a little hard edge for me (has a little more testoterone in it) but they have an interesting sound and sound very MTV2 ready. I bought the totebag, too. It's very nice and I'm certain I will actually use it compared to all the T-shirts I never wear.
