Subject: Goos in Annapolis From: Noah Karchmer Date: 1997/09/22 Message-ID: <342681B8.70BB@telecnnct.com> Newsgroups: alt.music.goo-goo-dolls [More Headers] Saw the Goos play the Naval Academy Alumni Hall on friday night. The place was maybe a quarter full, plenty of the Navy guys on the floor and the lower concourse, which seemed to be reserved for them. But the upper levels for the "civilians" was so empty, I guess the concert wasn't promoted very well. The Goos must have been disappointed when they saw that empty arena, but you wouldn't know it- they put on a fantastic, very energetic show. At least the Navy guys were enjoying themselves, most of the other fans (not including me of course) were so lame. They played for about an hour and twenty minutes and played about 23 songs. They opened with "Stop the World" and played "Up Yours," "Just the Way You Are," and "2 Days in February" as an encore. They played most of the songs that John sings from Boy Named Goo and Superstar Car Wash (Robby only sang about 5 songs). Can't wait to see them again! Noah
