From Cheese16@webtv.net Fri Jun 26 23:36:19 1998 What is this? Amature hour? I am shocked at the amount of people who have got on this newsgroup and babbled about seing the group for the first time and really liking the group but do not know their names, blah, blah, blah. The band has been around for quite a while and there are many very good web sites out there for anyone to go to, to find out their favorite Goo's name, and all of that info., but they'd rather be lazy and look like fools to the rest of us who have followed the Goo's long enough to tell you how many albums they have out and we can probably name all of the songs on each album in order. They'll all come on and say how "fine" they think the "lead singer" is, and say how great they think Iris is, but we all now that if they had never seen the video they wouldn't like the song as much! Is this a high school forum where teeny boppers all sit around and gossip about the cute boy in gym class? I could handle 1 or 2 of these letters but this is becoming a regular thing now. I used to come here to interact with other Goo lovers about things going on with the band, comment about songs and talk about music in general, if I wanted to talk about "boys" I would be logging on to the babysitters club newgroup! See Ya, Cheese From fabfay@aol.com Sat Jun 27 21:11:39 1998 Hi Candi! The Goo Goo Dolls are Johnny Rzeznik (lead singer and guitar), Robby Takac (bass guitar) and Mike Malinin (drums). The name Goo Goo Dolls was picked a long time ago and because of their growing popularity over the years they're kind of stuck with it now. I'm glad you like the band and the song, "Iris". It's a great starting point to discover what the Goo Goo Dolls have done over the past 10+ years. Pick up an album or two and enjoy them! Fay
