John seemed a little weary early on...it was 7 am mountain time...but as the hour went on, he became more interactive. He said he was calling from Buffalo, where he was visiting family before returning to LA on Sunday. Of course, the DJ had to ask about his martial status, to which the reply was "married, separated, but really good friends." John talked about the difficulty of being on the road and keeping a relationship going. He says "you call home everyday and send little gifts from the road" to let them know you're thinking of them. John was also asked if he was a romantic.....he asked for the DJ's definition of romance.....that seemed odd to me. ;0) He did say that he thought he was. John did confirm the Broadway video. He said that the concept was a commentary on the current music scene...its called "The Pop Factory." Here's the concept: Three fat, blue collar guys show up at the pop factory and after some work come out as the Goos. Hhhmmmm.....seems interesting to me! The DJ told John that he thought that John would be great in a movie. John replied that he was considering a project that would have him playing a substantial part. The deal: John plays a bar owner that wants to start a record company using drug money. John's take on it: I'm no actor and does this character have any redeeming qualities whatsoever! John confirmed the broken ankle. He got it by falling down ONE step and the cast was on about a week before he had it taken off -- it was bugging him. He said it still hurts. John explained his East-West coast living arrangements. He has a place in Buffalo and a "little" apartment in LA. Nothing fancy, he claims, just someplace to crash while he works out west. As for the hairdo just love this.....John has his hair cut by Elliot at Changes Beauty Supply on Melrose. He said he wouldn't comment on Elliot, but he's apparently a character. Overall, the interview was awesome. They even played Broadway! (Yea!) The DJ's are very pro-Goo. The female DJ gave the Male DJ a hockey jersey with Rzeznik on it for Christmas. John said he's a Sabre's fan. Sorry ... for all those that asked...I didn't tape it.....too close to making a personal gain at the guys expense...now that's just my personal opinion....all of you who trade, no offense meant. Stay Gooey, Kimberly ;0)
