Goos seek toys for those in need 11/26/99 Fans attending the Goo Goo Dolls concerts in Buffalo will be able to reach across the world to help people in Bosnia, as well as folks in their own back yard. The Goos are asking those attending their three shows on Wednesday, Thursday and next Friday at Shea's Performing Arts Center to bring new, unwrapped toys. Fans who do so will be given an autographed picture of the Goo Goo Dolls. Half of the toys collected will stay in Buffalo to go to needy children here, and the Goos will take the rest to Bosnia, where they will visit in mid-December to entertain U.S. troops who are stationed there. The Goos also will play U.S. military installations in Spain, Italy, Germany and on board the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy. The band seems most concerned about bringing toys to the children of war-torn Bosnia. "We want everybody to bring as many toys as they can," said the Goos' Johnny Rzeznik. "We want to show the people in Bosnia that the people in Buffalo care about them and are generous." - Anthony Violanti
