I agree that Garbage is a real competitor. "Special" comes from their album which got a Album of The Year nomination last year, so obviously the Grammy people think highly of the band. I think "Scar Tissue" is the Goos' next biggest competition, since that song has been all over radio and MTV/VH1 the last several months. It would be nice if those 2 songs split the vote, and our boys sneak in to grab the Grammy. They certainly deserve it, especially after getting robbed last year. I was really disappointed that "Slide" never got nominated. It was huge compared to "Black Balloon", but I think that it was just a case of bad timing with that song. I don't think it was eligible to be nominated this year because it was released just weeks before the eligibility period started, and last year it was barely out when the eligibility period ended so it hadn't quite caught on yet. I just go to the next email or give my delete button a thrill. Tonight, I scanned through the last few that landed in my mailbox(s) and my maternal instinct kicked in big time. As someone who has been the victim of a stalker and who has known a child that was pursued by a lunatic that they met via the internet, I have to voice my concern. I'd like to hope that there are no stalker/psycho perverts on any Goo lists, but you never know what sicko maybe lurking. By filling out these surveys, you've just given out all the info needed to find you. They don't need your address or phone number they can find that by the info you've already given and it's only a mouse click away. Molesters, especially online ones, are in a way like chameleons. They can pretend to be whatever suits their needs. They often pretend to be your age and like the same things you do to learn more about you and gain your trust before they do or attempt to do whatever dreadful deed they have planned. With these surveys, they don't even have to pick your brain for any information, you made it easy, you've already given it to them! AOL is a simple program and its really easy for people manipulate it and to take advantage of AOL users who may not be all that PC savvy yet. Here are a few tips to keep your AOL account hack free. Make sure your password is combination of letters and numbers. The top 3 passwords on AOL are love, password and fuck. Really. Hackers know this and actually have programs that collect screen names in chat rooms and try to log in the screen names using common passwords. Beware of emails with special offers or announcing problems that require your password to recieve or fix. This a a common AOL hacker trick. Same goes for IMS asking the same thing. Most hackers will just use your account for a free log on for screen name they creat with your account. You wont even know they are using your account unless they do something in violation of AOLs TOS or you try to log on while they are on. Her AOL account was hacked and someone did this to her. She is not to blame. Please everybody, don't jump to conclusions. Give her some slack okay? I know there are times when people's email servers post the same emails numerous times and there are times that people's email accounts get hacked. These things happen. If you have a problem with a posting that you are not happy with, take it up with that person. As negative as things can be in this world, there are many positives and it's not a good thing to see everything negatively. I was upset to see that posting myself, but once I saw that and looking at the email address, I felt strongly that this person was being victimized as much as we were by that nasty posting so I didn't say anything. Please, no more emails on this topic and please give this girl some slack. Her email account got hacked and she was victimized and you are making her feel back for being a victim of something she had no control over. She also goes to the same high school now and when they were in Byffalo Dec. 1, 2 & 3rd, Johnny visited the High school w/ MTV. doing so. my mother came across this at a restaraunt she went to a few days ago. it is about a little 4 yr. old girl who is dying of cancer. her christmas wish was to see how many christmas cards she could receive. well, since my mother didn't see this until after christmas, she thought that she could send her a valentine's day card. she phoned me and my sister and asked if we could do it also. i've talked to all my friends to ask if they would also be willing to do this. i then thought, what would be the best way to reach a large amount of people in a short time. this is where all of you come into play. from what i understand, there are over 600 people on this list. wouldn't it be incredible if she were to receive a card from each and every one of us. people can do great things in
