I hope your Y2Ks are going okay so far. :) I survived New Year's, but I gotta go back to school on Monday. Back to work...ugh. =T Anyhow, I was listening to a local radio station today...Live 105 (105.3 in the Bay Area) and they were counting down the top 105 bands of the '90s. The Goos made it on the list at #46. They were playing blocks of all the bands, so they played "Name" and "Iris" for the Goo Goo Dolls. I found out that the 105 bands were voted for online...I wish I'd known earlier...coulda made the Goos place higher! I visited the radio station webpage (http://www.live105.com/), and they have the list of the top 105 bands. If you scroll down to Goo Goo Dolls, there's a link that has the radio station's bio page on the band. It's pretty old, and has wrong info (it says they named themselves after Goo Goo Clusters lol), but the cool thing is that you can listen to an 11-min. interview via real audio that the band did with the station back in '98 when they came to the Fillmore in December. They also played "Slide" for the interview. If anyone has this on tape, please e-mail me. I would really love a copy! :) Also when I was looking around Live 105's webpage, I found their list of top 105.3 songs of '99. I think they counted that down on the radio on New Year's Eve. The Goos didn't place too high (sometimes Live 105 plays a song a lot for like 2 weeks, then drops it =T), but made it on the list 3 times which is pretty cool: #94 GGD: Dizzy, #87 GGD: Slide, #84 GGD: Black Balloon.
