You wrap the maxi pad wrapper over the camera and then throw some tampons on top - I guarantee that no one will stick their hand in there to check it out. For extra insurance, throw some Kleenex in there - wrinkle them up so that they look used. I've actually never had anyone ask me to unzip it. This would take a lot of effort!! we would need a WHOLE lot of people to maybe vote under every state or something, so thats at least 50 votes or so a person. We would just have to make sure we got A LOT of people in on it that will vote many many times! maybe get a list of people that will vote for sure or something...I don't know.... I'm cutting and pasting it again, and adding some facts above it.... I'll be at all 3 shows now, figured it's not often that I get to see = them 3 times in a row, makes it shows 33,34, and 35 :) As for plans, what has been mentioned is that we all meet just inside = the doors of Sheas at 7pm. I was told thats when the doors open so what = we could do is meet right inside the doors. If anyone is creative, = delegate yourself to make a sign that says goo@mailinglists.org so we = could find eachother there.... There is a TGIF restaurant just down the street, I would assume that = would be a good place to meet up before the show. I can't think of any = rstaurants offhand. As for Friday, that's when most people are going to be there, I think we = should try to start meeting up around 5:30 at the TGIF. Any other = suggestions? As for after the show, we are planning on going to the Elmwood Lounge to = see the Incredible Lance Diamond around 11pm. Then there is also = Chippewa Street, which has over 20 bars on one block. As for Saturday, people are planning on going to the malls and Niagara = Falls. The Canadian side is beter than the American side though.... Then = at 11pm, everyone is going to the Calumet to see CO Jones. It has been = guaranteed to be a kick ass funkfest and go til they run out of = booze.... As for what to do during the days, there are plenty of shops on Elmwood = and the surrounding area.... And here is the same info as last time..... Remember, email me at joejr@pce.net to add yourself to the list or = change any of the info jOegOo Here's the same stuff as before...... As for get togethers. I figured that dinner out near Sheas might be a = good thing to plan. There is a TGIF and Buffalo House and a couple of other restaurants. Quick food, Jim's Steak Out, AWESOME snacks (subs, pizza, = ect) right around the corner on Chippewa. The main date for planning a get together seems like Dec 3rd since there = are so many people. I am trying to find a place that could hold a decent = amount of people. I am also going to get a hold of Lance Diamond to see if he = is doing happy hour that night so maybe we could go where he is. If not, = then I'll check into a restaurant that has room for 30+ people. For those of you 21 and up (or with fake id's) Weds night is busy on Chippewa Street, around the corner from Sheas. Tons of bars and stuff to = do after the show. Friday is the big night down there (and Saturday too). ZooBar, Ka'os, Calumet, ect are cool clubs. Also on Friday night Lance Diamond is playing his regularly scheduled show at the Elmwood Lounge = about 5 minutes away from Sheas. Would be cool if everyone goes to see him on Friday night and see's CO Jones on Saturday nigth at the Calumet. From = the emails that I am getting, this sounds like the kind of plans people want = to do. Here are some things going on. I didn't get o do a lot of research, but = here are some ideas: the Festival if Lights in Niagara Falls,NY and Canada - http://www.a-festival-of-lights.org/ bring your ice skates too... very scenic, plus see one of the wonders of = the world. I would honestly recommend the Canadian side I think the Buffalo Sabres have a game on the 4th www.sabres.com or www.marinemidlandarena.com Then there is the malls, check out the Galleria Mall in Cheektowaga or = th Boulevard Mall in Amherst, or the Factory Outlet Mall in Niagara Falls. Those are the big three malls. Being 2:15am, I'm not all that productive right now. I'm sure I'll be posting again before the show, but this is a guideline for some people's plans.... Any suggestions, changes, modifications, ect, mail me at joejr@pce.net I'm going to bed, got to save up the energy to eat some turkey and then = fall asleep watching football... jOegOo joejr@pce.net GooGooDollsOnline www.pce.net/joejr And here is the same info that I posted before for the shows........ (this is pretty much the same info as before, other than the fact that = the Sabres may be playing the Rangers on the 4th, just no Dominic Hasek aka World's Greatest Goalie, groin tear - OUCH!!!!) I know there is more people than this going to the shows, email me at joejr@pce.net in the same format as above and make sure you mention the days. As for whats going on, a lot of things in Buffalo and Niagara Falls. The Festival of Lights is going on in Niagara Falls on the US and Canadian = side. They have the whole area lit up and the Falls look real cool. The = Canadian side is better I think. There are 3 major malls in the area Walden = Galleria, Boulevard Mall, and the Niagara Factory Outlet Mall. For those of you shopping, they are all within 20/30 minutes of the venue. I'm not sure, = but there is probably a Buffalo Sabres game. Check out the almost Stanley = Cup winners from the 98/99 season (damn Dallas Stars - www.nogoal.com). They play in the Marine Midland Arena www.marinemidlandarena.com . Then to the = nitty gritty. On Friday night around 6pm, Lance Diamond plays at the Zoo Bar = on Chippewa street (right down the street from Sheas). I think he still = does this. And then he also does his live shows every Friday and Saturday = night at the Elmwood Lounge. He already is making plans for a great show for = everyone that is coming in to town. Mail me also to get on the list of people = that are going to his show. CO Jones (Dave's band, with Steve Demarchi) www.cojonesworld.com also has a gig on Saturday night the 4th. They are playing at the Calumet on Chippewa around 11pm, but the way they are, it will start a bit later and last til around 4am, when the club kicks everyone = out or they run out of alcohol. (The only time that club ran out of alcohol = is when CO Jones played in the summer). We are planning on getting a bunch = of people together for that too. Mail me if you are interested. Thats about = all for now. Mail me if you want to add your name to the list of people = going to one of the 3 shows or the Lance Diamond or CO Jones show. -Please Do not mail me to ask for backstage passes or hints on meeting = the band Thats all from me for now. Now I'm gettinog prepared to get a ton of = mail :) jOegOo joejr@pce.net GooGooDollsOnline www.pce.net/joejr ------=_NextPart_000_02F1_01BF3AC8.B53E6A60-- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Nov 1999 00:27:50 EST To: RobbieBoy@webtv.net, GOO@MAILINGLISTS.ORG, TTB@ONELIST.COM From: "T M" Subject: Re: [GOO] Damn MTV! Music begins with, ends with, and ultimately is ROCK. The song was only the biggest song of 1998, which was like the biggest year for music in the 90's. You can't ignore your roots! Pay all the homage you want to Korn and the others, but you've got to acknowledge that the Goos are responsible for a lot of the best songs in recent memory. YOU CAN'T IGNORE IRIS!!! IT'S THE BIGGEST SONG IN THE HISTORY OF THE RADIO!!! VH1 isn't afraid to applaud the Goos, and if you could have the courtesy to do the same, instead of treating them like a washed out band for the terminally uncool, then maybe you wouldn't have lost 500+ viewers, the members of the goo goo dolls mailing list. PLEASE READ!!! Message-ID: <0.a8e5b9f4.2575a9bc@aol.com> hey-- I couldn't help but put in my two cents, and i think that there are absolutely no songs i could do without. I mean, sure there are some i like more than others, but i love them all. I think that each song represents a different part of the goo goo dolls and i think that's why i love thhem all so much. so, here's what i think of some songs i've seen brought up: ****INSTRUMENTALS**** these are some of my fav goo songs, because i think it's soooo cool that they can express emotions through simply sound, no language needed. ****22 SECONDS**** I WAS ON MY ASS LAUGHING when i first heard this song. I think it's really funny, and it's awesome that George can/could make fun of himself like that. The goos humor is such a HUGE part of why i like them! ****SLAVE GIRL**** for those of you who think slave girl is "sexist" and you could do without it, NONE OF THE GOOS WROTE THIS SONG!!! Don't think that they did. I, too, was surprised when i first heard it 3 years ago, but i realized right away, by looking in the booklet, that it wasn't written by any of them, and i felt a lot better. I don't think that the goos would write a song like that, AND EVEN IF THEY DID, IF YOU LISTEN TO THE LYRICS, IT'S NOT ALL RUDE!! SOME IF THEM ARE ACTUALLY A LITTLE DEEP!!!! --Caity ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Nov 1999 17:52:47 EST To: goo@mailinglists.org From: RKGuzman59@aol.com Subject: Goo Cartoon Message-ID: <0.f767b3c5.2575af3f@aol.com> There was a cartoon ,with the Goo's drawn as babies ,in my newspaper today it was an article about Dolls and its sooo cute! I can see the carpet in my room, it was being taken over by birthday presents. *lol* I did enjoy doing the birthday boxes. Everyone who sent something was very kind, by either thanking me for mailing the stuff off or even helping with the shipping on the box. I did get a few pictures of the box before I sent it out. So when those get developed I would be happy to send them to anyone who wants them. My friend Nikki who helped with the card is going to the 3rd Buffalo show and is going to try and get some pictures of the box too. (thanks Nikki!!). The box was very awesome looking. Anyways, I just wanna thank Bill Reiser for taking the stuff to John we all appriciate it, I would have no other way of getting the stuff to John, thanks Bill! Also thanks to everyone who sent stuff, I think its great of you to show your appriciation to John by sending him a birthday present. I thought it was cool how some of you also sent Mike and Robby presents and some even sent Dave and Nathan something, very cool of you guys. I'm approximating that they'll appear doing Long Way Down around 2:15, and Slide around 2:28, so I'm taping from 2-2:30. YIKES! also Weds, at 9:30 AM, the goos will have a video on pop-up video on VH1. for those of you who don't watch the show, it's awesome. I think the video is "Iris" but I could be completely wrong. Thurs at 11:30 PM, VH1 will rerun Behind the Music. If you don't have a tape of this, MAKE ONE. this is probably my absolute favorite Goo show ever, because it has all these nice little interviewy things, and clips from the old music videos, and concert footage from the early days, and all kinds of GOOdies. hope some of you find this useful! I hope everyone is excited for the Buffalo shows. I unfortunately will not be attending any. Anyway, the reason I am e-mailing the list is because I know after the Buffalo shows there are going to be TONS and TONS of reviews posted. Please try and limit the numbers though, I will definately read the reviews if you post any to Fay or Alex but for now try and limit the amount you post on the list. I am sure everyone gets enough e-mail as it is, I just don't feel like pressing the delete button 700 times, thanks! Everyone ENJOY the shows!
