Post by Country on Mar 4th, 2007, 5:51pm
 The concert was amazing !
The crowd was great too for being a ga show .
I was never a fan of general admission shows . I HATE standing in line and not knowing where you will be .
Iv also had alot of bad experiences at different shows .
This one was one of the best . :nanner:
Goos fans you rock ! :)
I was in the third row dead center .. not the best for photos but its a nice place to be ! lol
Johnny looked fantastic !
He lookes very healthy and sounded great .
Just wish i had a chance to do more shows but cant afford it with tax time right around the corner .
( have to pay 900 )
Here are a few of my pix , Shannon knows me .. when i say a few i mean a few ! :hahaha:

You got quite a few pictures!
Nice job!
You even got some of Mike!

(I love that feature where you can scroll over the little pics and it shows a slightly larger version that you can click on to view the big picture! Very cool.)

Thanks for writing your review and posting your pictures Gail.

I do like that feature on Kodak. I might have to use that gallery for my Detroit pics.

Gail!! Thank you so much for sharing your photos with us. They are simply amazing! wow.. You are a wonderful photographer. Could you share your settings with us? I struggle taking pictures. I know I'll never get the shots you did, but if they aren't blurred, that would be an improvement!! lol

 Thanx !
Each camera has different settings .
After you read your manual ( if you havnt yet )
Set your iso as low as high as it goes .
You need to be able to set it to a setting where you can adjust when the light changes .
I change mine all the time .
I have one shot with johnny in almost complete dark but i was able to still get his shadow.
  Mine has a a/s/m mode . I keep mine on s .
My settings are 1/100 for the most part .
If its dark you can go down to 1/60 but not much more than that , they tend to get blurry with the slightest movement .
Now with the lighting this year , you can adjust your settings . The lower the iso the less graine .
But those bright lights dont stay on long , than you need to change them again .
Its all about the settings ! lol
And keep the camera as still as possible !  ;)
Not easy when your at a ga show thou .
Good luck , hope this helps .

Thanks Gail. I have to try some different settings on my new camera. That was what I was looking for the other day when I asked you for the shutter speed. I'm going to try the 1/100 tonight and see how it works.

thanks for sharing. I'm going to save them for later when I have more time to browse. Didn't realize "a few" meant so many...haha.. the more the better.

Glad you had a good time at the show.

It was very helpful. The setting I usually use sets the aperature and shutter speed and then I just play with the exposure. Well it was way too dark for that last night and my pictures were turning out blurry or too dark. So setting my camera the way you suggested did the trick. I started using the shutter speed of 1/100 but it was still too dark so I had to go down to 1/60. Thanks. If I hadn't read your post I wouldn't have had any good pictures from last night.

Well i guess it was a good thing i posted when i did then ! lol
Did you use the railing to help keep your camera steady ?

I did when I was at the rail on Tuesday but not Wednesday. The rail on Wednesday came about to my waist. But the front row rail was perfect......it came to about my arms and was a great stabilizer.

Got a chance to view them all. Beautiful shots.

Shallow comment ahead -->> I know the tatts are cool, but I do love John in a long sleeve shirt.
