Kudos for digging up that screencap. I thought I had a picture of that floating around somewhere. 
I don't know that this helps any (maybe for the name change phenomenon) but I found a couple gabbly screencaps on my laptop:

What would the GnR Elephants meme be? Just nmf asking for 5 years for a picture and me constantly saying I'm working on it?
I've been adding a lot of pictures to the main post but I'll update some text soon, so anyone remembering the origins of the memes is helpful.
