I saw the Goo's in Iowa last May so I was pretty excited to hear they were going to be only an hour and 40 minutes away from my hometown! They played at Northwest Missouri State University, which is my college's rival (that part was awkward).

Vedera was the opening band. They played the first time I saw the Goo's. I liked them then and I liked them last night!

Most of the early arrivers sat in the bleachers so I was able to grab a spot in the front on the far left. Early on in the show, I realized the crowd sucked. When the show first started and no one was bouncing like me, I figured it was just because we weren't in the middle. I looked over to the middle and no one was doing anything there either. Horrible crowd. That's probably what happens when you perform at a college.

Setlist was basically the same as it had been. They didn't play Sympathy (or was it Acoustic #3 that they had been playing?) or All Eyes on Me. A girl there had a sign that said ALL EYES ON ME so I felt bad for her when they didn't play it.

The friends I went with only knew of Iris, Slide, Name, and Black Balloon so when Iris came on you can imagine how excited they were. The band didn't even sing the big ending to it. After the big guitar solo part, Johnny sang the chorus softly and then the band said their good-byes and exited. I figured they were gonna come back on for an encore and finish it, but they came back and went right into Notbroken. It was weird and a lot of people seemed pissed.

Overall, not as good as my first show, but I have a feeling that's how it is for a lot of people. Also, my friend that I went to the Iowa show with was a bigger fan of the band. She was originally supposed to go to this show with me, and we were going to take a sign that said, "PLAY JAMES DEAN" That's how hardcore of a fan she is.

Also, I really wanted that Goo Goo Dolls jacket, but I didn't have $60 on me so I settled for the white-ish colored shirt and also got a wrist band. I now have 3 shirts and a wrist band. I'd say I'm getting to be a pretty legit fan. Cheesy

Thanks for the review!

I don't get fans going to shows and not having fun. Makes no sense to me. How can you not have fun at a live show? Even if you're not a huge fan live shows are so much fun.
