Guess who found another Goo fan in Windsor....I DID!! AT WORK EVEN!! I was covering a shift for another partner and so was he, so obviously we were talking and striking up a conversation. The subject got onto music, I said I love all kinds of music, but I do have a favourite band. He asks me my favourite band, I tell him, then he proceeds to show me on his upper arm his IRIS tattoo. I died. I literally died. I did not know ANYONE as big of a fan in windsor as I was. LOL. Sooo he was gonna take the bus home so I asked if he needed a ride. I ended up driving him home and we listened to my demos and lives CD I made. Nothing like listening to IYB with an equal. It was so exciting to actually talk about the goo goo dolls without someone going...oh, I like Slide...or Oh, my favourite song is that one on the radio. Seriously, I died a little

It's so great to see them playing Name right back when it was all fresh and new for them, before it got so big. Random(ish) video time - this is not the greatest song ever, nor the greatest animation ever, but it's MY greatest animation so far, so that'll do. I think the next animation, if I can get it done fairly quickly, will be Christmas related, but this one is about a Unicorn - er, a girl and a horse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7uIfWMETm4 And Lauren, you're so lucky! That must have been pretty awesome for you. I have yet to meet anyone who's such a big fan as I am, except while we're queueing for goo concerts Although one of my friends, who used to diss the band quite a lot, has found that Pandora keeps recommending GGD music to him and he quite likes it. Ha ha! So he is coming round, slowly but surely....

Read this because there's a Goo reference in the middle. But it doesn't hurt to read the whole thing because Paul Westerberg is awesome. http://blogs.twincities.com/ross/2007/09/nightclub_jitters.html And don't take it the wrong way. It's almost a compliment in 'Paul speak'. He usually brutally insults everyone who is influenced by him, but he's actually always pretty nice to John.

I think I was back briefly earlier this year, until some new name change fad started up. I don't know if there will be another change, I think some of our key chaos-causers jumped ship to the Matchbox 20 fandom or something...
