Title: New years resolutions
Post by Hysteria on Jan 1st, 2007, 4:28am
Well I hope everyone had a good new years eve and that you all have a good 2007, just thought i'd see if anyone wanted to share their resolutions if you have one.

Mine is:

1. To do well in my exams and get into a good university.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :D

And not to sound TOO picky Charlie, but is that not more of a target than a resolution?  :P haha But I definitely wanna do the same! And get a good gap year placement.

My new resolution? To start actually doing my homework lol...thats my first

My new years resolution is to go running more frequently. I have slacked a lot this past year.

This year, Maddy needs to...
~ Get off her butt and get a life that doesn't involve sitting at the computer all day
~ Stop torturing her cats(hey, they put up with it, so I walk around the house with a cat slung over my shoulder every so often)
~ Get her haircut more often(I got it done once in July, and it needs cutting to bad now, I need to pin it back so I can see)
~ Maybe...get a boyfriend who isn't FIVE...

I made two resolutions for myself this year:

1.  Get in better shape/lose weight
2.  Start putting money away to buy a house

I dunno, we have a jump-roping sheep on a Harry Potter forum I go to, as well as a viking...I'm, like, the only person who ever uses the viking....
Okay.
I have a better question.
Why do we have a PIMP smiley?

My parents went to Mexico before I was born...They lived in their van for about a month...My mom says don't eat at the five star restaurants(my dad thought he was gonna die), and always ask if the water is pure.

Wow, go you. That's incredible.

My resolution is to finally try out for plays and the such in my local area. If I wanna be a stage actor I have to actually go to auditions.  ::)

That's so great Heather!  I'd love to know how you did it!  I need to drop about 75 pounds or so to get down to my goal weight.

thanks melissa and to everyone who said something!

anyway my secret if i have one lol is just to do a little bit of everything. i watch my carbs, buy low fat, no fat food, i drink diet EVERYTHING if i chose soda, juice etc. i drink water like it's going outta style. that's a big thing the water. it really fills you up and you feel satisfied. the first couple weeks you pee your brains out til you get used to all the new water in-take but it levels out then. then on top of that i exercise. i bike ride (on a stationary bike) ten miles everyday. i belly dance. i do crunches about 200 a day. lift weights for my arms.

it sounds like a lot but once you get a general workout going it's like second nature. the bike riding i do everyday. the bellydance i try to do twice a week and the other crunches and weights i do about 3-4 times a week. all that along with watching what i eat and how i eat it has been my success in losing weight. plus once you go down your first pant size it's like YESS!!! and you just keep going.

I'm putting both my husband and myself on a serious diet now that the holidays & traveling are over...so that's definately a good tip Heather.  Keep up the great work!!!
