I'm having a total love affair with this band and their debut album. If anyone doesn't know who they are, it's Tom from Blink 182 and a new band. I was never a huge fan of Tom so I wasn't expecting to like this album but a friend of mine was like "you have to get it!" I'm so glad I did, the songs really go with somethings I have going on in my personal life and they are just different to listen to.

i love angels and airwaves!!! i havent got their album yet but i've heard a few of them, so far i love the adventure and good day, tom's making better music now IMO.

I might check them out. I did like a Blink single or two, the more serious ones. I wasn't a big fan of Tom either, I always thought Mark's voice was much better. I'll give it a listen or two.

Seems like they've been getting some good responces, i think i may need to check out some more stuff. I do really like the adventure, that's a good tune. What ever happend to the other band he was in....box car racer? That didn't really last long ???

Ok. Im glad someone posted this. Let me see. hmm?

A - BLINK 182 - > MARK NOR TOM could sing at all. There talentless, they could only play there insturments ok, Travis was the good one. All there songs were dumb, about dumb things, i hate them all. Bad music, bad lyrics.

B - > RETIRED? THEY RETIRED. So how the hell can tom go and get anther record deal? They said they were taking time off for there families. ITS GOING TO BE THE SAME THING IN A DIFF BAND TOM.

C - > ANGELS AND AIRWAVES - POSSIBLY WORSE than Blink 182. No, wait. Cant be. BLINK 182 IS THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO MUSIC.

D - > Blink 182 is over rated just like Greenday or Johnny Cash.

But, you know, thats just me. I just really dislike them. ALOT.

Well, I'm not exactly a fan of their work either but I don't think all their songs were exactly dumb. I quite enjoyed I Miss You. Tom's voice did irk me a little on it, but Mark's "I miss you" during the chorus gave the song a wonderful bass that made it charming.

Or maybe as i grow, the hate for tom delonge (however you spell it) and his fellow "band" members will grow as well :)

Back on topic. A&A is alright, I like "The Adventure" a lot. And this is coming from someone who loathed listening to Blink, mainly because of Tom's voice. So they must be doing something right! I just happen to think most of A&A's songs -- the several that I've heard, anyway -- have the same general feel/mood to them; so they got bland for me really fast. They've got a decent sound, I just think they just need to experiment with it and reach out some more. Much preferred over Blink though. I'm interested to see where their career goes.

I had no idea that Tom was in that band. I heard one of their songs today, and thought the voice sounded like him, but couldn't for the life of me figure out who it could have been. Guess I was right from the beginning. Not a bad sound...but then again, I was a Blink fan....and really liked Boxcar Racer as well...so I'm sure once I listen to A&A I'll probably dig them too. Thanks for clearing up my confusion Heather!

You're welcome! Yeah definatly checked them out! I think the thing I'm most drawn to is the lyrics, the sound of them is different and refreshing too but the lyrics sorta really hit home.
