lol. No wonder why he doesn't fit in..:). I was very surprised by the video. Totally not what I was expecting. I think the video is good, meaning that it was in a different country with different culture, and that made the video very nice and different. I was expecting a video with them just performing in front of the camera or the street like most rock videos.  Best goo video in while, and i'm a huge fan of Japanese culture.

When I first heard the video was being filmed in Little Tokyo in LA I didn't really understand how it would fit the song. But after seeing the video it all made sense. I loved the video I thought they did a great job showing how you can be surrounded by people and still feel alone and just want to go home. And it was generic enough that home could be a place or a person. Very relatable. But the video really conveyed the sense of isolation and loneliness a person feels when they're away from home and missing their home & family. Very well done.

I just have to point out that Mike has Salt & Pepper hair! I love it he's so adorable!

Now that I've FINALLY seen the video, It's really well done.

I have finally seen it, and I really liked it. It was really current - but John seemed really bored the entire first half of the video (almost uncomfortable), but he came alive when he was playing his guitar in the aisle.

I honestly think that was the point. That he wanted to be home and not there. I didn't see boredom as much as loneliness and a desire to be "home". Robby & Mike also had that similar expression. An expression of going through the motions but really not  wanting to be there. I think the video really conveys the message of the song.

It also has a similar vibe as the Dizzy video.

I really love the concept for the video, but I sort of agree that John looks bored. Or, maybe not bored, but he's totally lacking in engery. I know it's the kind of patented "John Rzeznik-rocking-back-and-forth-camera"-look, but still. I also really wish he could ditch the make-up :P

But otherwise, the video's really good.

[edit] Oh an I forgot to add that while I was watching, my granddad leaned over and asked if John was my boyfriend. lol!

I guess I'm the only person who didn't really care for the video. Johnny's lipsyncing really bothered me and it just seemed like he wasn't having fun with this video. I prefer when they just play their instruments for the entire video honestly...

However, it's good to see a lot of Mike for once. Usually they show a quick flash of him and then that's it.

Did you listen to the lyrics? You can't be having fun if you're feeling lonely. Usually you're supposed to lipsync in music videos...kinda had to do a video and music recording at the same time. As for playing instruments for the entire video, they have that...and it's all over youtube..and no lipsyncing either. To me, just to have them standing and running around playing instruments in a music video...that's just boring. For me, it was just the goos, but the beauty of the whole video and Japan.
