Title: Re: Release Date - Interview with John Post by Pon on Apr 16th, 2010, 10:32am I'll just add 3 months to that and not get my hopes up..:). They take forever to release music, but then again, they did say that the studio told them to go back in and start from the ground up. Was it that bad or was it too goo and not modern enough? They did totally change their sound? I would find it hard to believe that the 2 songs that we already heard on the new album is good enough to be on the album and possibly be singles? Were the songs that didn't make the cut that horrible? |

Title: Re: Release Date - Interview with John Post by the stamped o on Apr 16th, 2010, 2:52pm I don't think they said any songs have been cut - just reworked. We only know of one new song written since WB rejected the album. I believe Home was the new song but I could be wrong. And suck it up because Sweetest Lie is going to be the first single. (It's also still the only new song of the 5 that I instantly liked so I am just fine with that.) |

Title: Re: Release Date - Interview with John Post by Pon on Apr 16th, 2010, 6:18pm Sweetest Lie is the first single? YIKES! In my opinion, that is the worst single of their singles and worst than most non-Singles. on 04/16/10 at 14:52:50, the stamped o wrote:

Title: Re: Release Date - Interview with John Post by sympathy_0 on Apr 16th, 2010, 9:20pm Yeah, I got to say I can't see the masses loving The Sweetest Lie. I love top 40 stuff, and so far the only song we've heard that could be a hit would be Home, and maybe Nightmares and Dreams. Just like how "Without You Here" would have been a huge hit, it would have done better than Iris I think - or it at least would have been as well known as Iris. |
