I don't know that I'd say it was a lie. More like John recorded the song and the makers of the movie/soundtrack decide whether or not they'll use it. Nothing official has been announced yet.

Well, with it being released on Monday, it either is for sure or isn't for sure. I hope we get to hear the song either way.

It says on the Spiderman 3 soundtrack myspace that there's a "digital edition" featuring a bonus track...hmmm? I do remember hearing that the song will be featured in the movie, but I'm not sure if that's totally confirmed. Soooo, I guess I'll be seeing the movie for sure now!

Looks like they recorded a song for the Transformers movie and not Spiderman 3. :D

They could have done a song for S3 and the powers that be decided not to use it. Things always change.

And there's always songs in the movie that didn't make the soundtrack. So the only way we'll know for sure is by going to see it.

And I'm surprised that there wasn't some kind of official announcement about it.

I didn't know they had a song in the movie. I didn't hear it when i saw it.

If its for transformers it would be cool.

You know a while back the Goos had a performance sponsored by Saturn, the car company, "Saturn Ion" - some new car

Saturn is owned by GMC, and they have a few cars in the transformer movie, like the Camaro Concept car (google it)

Perhaps there is a link there?
