The Goo Goo Dolls have been in the music industry for 20 years now! They are coming up on their 1 year anniversary of Let love In. Over this period of time they have not only given their all to the fans, but they've contributed to Samaritans in need. They've donated their time, money and instruments. They continue to grow not only individually, but also as a band. Their music over the years has touched several. It has even anthemed itself into some of our nations recent events. The loyalty of the fans seems to get stronger with every passing moment...The fans continue to support them and for good reason. Many say their music has walked them through some pretty tough times. Now seems like the perfect time for this band to receive an official moment of recognition! A moment in which the fan base gets to reward them for all they've accomplished. Be a part of the legacy....Now's your chance to get in on this moment. On March 23rd, 2007, at The Pitt Center at Sacred Heart University...The Goo Goo Dolls will be presented with a 2ft long commemorative key. Engraved on it's handle will read...
THE GOO GOO DOLLS Let Love In 2007 "Key to the heart of your fans" So there will be the key along with a short speech in commemoration of the key in their honor. why not raise money for a star on the hollywood walk of fame? then everybody has a chance to see it.

Why all the hatin'? If it's not something you want to be a part of then just ignore it. You either want to be a part of it or you don't. It's that simple. No need to ruin the surprise. I highly doubt she wants your money. That is not her motivation and we all know it.

The bottom line is this. The Goo's have been in this business a loooooooooooooong ass time. By now they can tell the difference between a fan who is genuine and a fan who is not. The same goes for their crew, their roadies and anyone else related to the band. Let's not underestimate their ability to spot an opportunist when they see one.

I think the Goos realize that buying them expensive gifts is not what makes someone a "true goo fan."

I've been gone most of yesterday and today and came back to this tonight.....in addition to not being able to access the board. �>:(

First off.....Thanks Adela for stepping in when I wasn't here. I'm aware of all posts that were deleted.

Secondly.....I would just like to remind everyone that it's okay to have opposing opinions on this board. I like, that on most days we can all chat and disagree and no one feels hurt, singled out or attacked. So let's please remember that if you don't agree with someone to say so in a way that doesn't attack that person's character or judge them unfairly.
