According to the Sacred Heart University site, this show is GA. �Apparently there's been some confusion about this so I hope this answers everyone's questions. Thanks DWG for the link.

Yes, non-students will get a crack at it, but we have to wait until February 6th:

"Tickets for both shows will be going on sale February 6, 2007, at noon for the General Public. They can be purchased on campus in the Hawley Lounge or via telephone at 203-371-7846."

Also, the "presale" over at the Inner Machine will take place Feb 6th also at noon.

(From what I've read, the students get to buy tickets earlier than that. On Feb 6th, depending on what you read or who you call, it's either 8AM to 10AM, or starting at 10AM. Seems to be some confusion about that time. jeesh.)

It should also be noted that it's a 14 and up show only and no cameras are allowed.

I was re-reading the other article that Shannon had posted in this thread:

It says the undergrad students get to buy their tickets from 8AM to 10AM on Feb 6th.
But if you call the phone number listed, they say tickets go on sale at 10AM. The phone message I listened to said tickets will also be available at FYE.
I have a bad feeling about this show. Too much conflicting information for a small venue where the so-called presale is after-the-fact.

I think you'll be okay for the "pre" sale.  The IM has an allotted number of tickets for them, so it's not like the show will sell out before noon and screw the IM buyers.

The general sale is where it could go either way.  I could see the college kids buying all of the tickets right away.  But... on the other hand, college kids are all about the hip hop crap and sometimes the demand isn't so high for shows like the Goos.  The school I did my undergrad at (private and slightly bigger than Sacred Heart, with lots and lots of rich spoiled jerks  ::)) had a couple bands play that were pretty similar to the Goos and the shows were always waaaaay undersold.

I e-mailed the manager of the Student Life Office to ask for clarification on the ticket sale times, since there was different info regarding this.
She said the information on the phone line is the correct information.  The tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on February 6th.  You can either call 203-371-7846 to purchase by credit card (MC, Visa, Am Ex) or you can also purchase them at FYE locations on Feb 6 at 10am.  She said they will correct the information on the website to say 10am. She said the information in the Spectrum article was not correct.

I found out that some of the FYE stores do not sell tickets for this show, so I went to the college to buy them.

Hard to say. The band just recently changed up the set list a bit. For the first leg of the tour, the set was predominately songs from the newest cd, Let Love In. Since the most recent leg of the tour there have been some more of their older songs added in, and last night a surprise cover of AC/DC's "You Shook Me". So...hard to say exactly. Have a good time at the show.

If you're way in the back, you will probably see DWG moshing or headbanging.

(just kidding. unless they play another AC/DC cover or something equally cool)

The Pitt Center is where the university's basketball team plays games, so it's not huge. I've read different things, some said the place holds 2,000...another said 5,000. If I find anything definite, I'll let you know.

You should be able to see fine though, even from the back.

I was told it holds 2000 seated. However this is a GA standing room only for this concert therefore 5000
tix are being sold.

I don't think it is sold out at all. They still have tickets available over on the IM. So I think your chances are very good for getting tickets for this show.

Yeah, the number that you call for ticket info is for the Student Life Office, which is open 9 to 5. I don't think they work on weekends, so I'd call Monday morning.
