Title: CD/DVD tour edition!
Post by Shannon on Sep 13th, 2006, 4:12pm
I've seen lots of rumors of a Let Love In CD/DVD tour edition. AG has confirmed that this rumor is indeed true and will be available for purchase almost everywhere. Live and Intimate....I'm all excited! Here's a link to check it out.

You're welcome!

I saw the free postage and felt very envious. I'm sure the rest of us are going to have to pay enormous shipping fees. But it's GOO!

Let's discuss the setlist:

Quote:
CD)
1 Stay With You,
2 Let Love In,
3 Feel the Silence,
4 Better Days,
5 Without You Here,
6 Listen,
7 Give A Little Bit,
8 Cant Let It Go,
9 Well Be Here (When Youre Gone),
10 Strange Love,
11 Become,

DVD) Live and Intimate:
1 Stay With You,
2 Let Love In,
3 Feel The Silence,
4 Better Days,
5 Without You Here,
6 Listen,
7 Cant Let It Go,
8 Well Be Here,
9 Strange Love,
10 Black Balloon,
11 Iris,
12 Become,
13 Broadway,
14 Here is gone,

Music Videos:
1 Better Days,
2 Stay With You,

Bonus Audio:
1 Better Days (Acoustic),
2 Well Be There (When Your Gone) (Acoustic)

Is the cd just the actual cd and not live recordings?  Because that would be stupid.  But GALB isn't listed for the dvd, meaning either they didn't play it or it was terrible and they cut it.  I lean towards them not playing it, but since it's in the cd, it leads me to believe the cd is just the studio cd.

And I'm sort of elated that Here is Gone was included on the dvd and Slide wasn't, because I'm mad HiG got the shaft from over half of the summer tour and I have seen/heard Slide so much that I skip over it all the time.

And again, I love the set background of the performance.

It'll be released in the states.  If it's not readily available in stores, it'll only cost US costs for shipping a cd.

OMG!!!  This is awesome news!!

Release date on that site is 2/10/06?  Should that read 10/2/06 to us in the States?

Finally, I can't wait! More Goo! And look!...what's on the cover but the BLUE O!!!!

But it sucks that I basically have to rebuy the album. Unless you can get just the dvd. But then will you get the two acoustic tracks? I already have Better Days but I want the We'll Be Here one. Oh wait, I mean We'll Be There (When Your Gone).

Hahahahaha.  I didn't notice the different cover.  the red o is out, the blue o is in!

I agree with you.  I don't want to have to buy LLI again.  Maybe there will be a US version which is just the dvd.

I need to get that. the end.

I'll put it in my Goo Goo Doll's Box with everything else Goo I've collected over the years.

It said this in the description of the band:

"...the first band to ever have a song played a million times on US radio."

I never knew that. You'd think they'd get more recognition for that. I assume they're referring to Iris.

I don't think it's correct. Iris is very very close to a million spins according to this thread at It's All Goo from Dec 2005:
http://itsallgooo.proboards4.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=1134927768&page=1

But when DUTG was certified with a million spins in 11/99 Iris had 527,124 spins according to this article:
http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/11-16-1999/0001076662&EDATE=

So, though I'm not going to make the Excel graph, accumulating 100,000 spins in 9 months would mean an upswing in the rate Iris is getting played, which is unlikely.  * Okay, I made an excel graph because I'm a nerd who enjoys graphs.  Based on really sketchy numbers that I probably deserve to have my chemical engineering degree taken away for, Iris shouldn't hit 1000000 spins until after 8/4/07.

Simpler answer: I don't think it has happened. We would have heard about it. :D

I haven't used it yet, but I'd like to think it does something like the Homer Simpson makeup gun all while sending some electricity into you.

Do you mean where the footage for the dvd is coming from?  It looks like the dvd footage will be from the Capitol Records session from before LLI was released.  The live Can't Let it Go and Let Love In videos from the Goos' myspace are from that performance.  It's kind of misleading as that performance wasn't actually on the tour (as the cd/dvd is called the Tour Edition), but the Goos didn't perform Can't Let it Go during any actual tour show.

Here's some info on it.  Scroll waaaay down to April 27.

I think they played "Cant Let It Go" for one or two of the first UK dates.  I remember someone commenting on it.  It would be nice if the live versions were from the UK tour and not that Capital Records thing.  I think they alway perform better in front of an audience in a real show.

According to the back of the cd/dvd from a scan from Robin at It's All Goo, the dvd is NTSC.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/crookedrhyme/goo/dvdspecs.jpg

It really should work in the US.  I haven't seen any posts from any US/Canada people who have it and can confirm, but I really think it will work in the US.  I'd feel comfortable ordering it right now, but I'm holding off to add it to my Christmas/birthday list.

I really want this. Especially since I haven't seen the Better Days video yet, as well as for the two acoustic versions. Buying the album again is not a bad thing, but there's the $$$ factor.

It's best to launch this with a new single..

I think I'm going to wait a while to buy this until Christmas or until it comes out in the U.S. or until I get more money.  There are so many Goo things that I want to buy off the internet and I feel bad when I have to keep asking my parents to use their credit card, so I'm going to wait until Christmas to ask for them. :)  I usually son't really want anything for Christmas, but it's different this year with all the new Goo releases!
