I just read over on AG that it's been confirmed the Goos are going to play a free show in the parking lot of the Superdome before Monday Night Football on Sept. 25th. More details are to come.

What a wonderful thing for the guys to do...especially so close to them leaving for the UK. This is just one of the many reason I love them so.

OK....official word from ggd.com is that she show is definitely free. It starts at 4:15 at the Outdoor Plaza of the Superdome on September 25th.

So which of you lucky Goo fans are going?

If I lived in New Orleans or at least closer than I am, I would go, BUt I live too far away...it would be cool if someone was going to attend so those of us who are not able to go can live vicariously through them.

Yeah..it's not gunna happen for me..Green Day and U2 are playing too..but it's going to be absolute chaos, and my parents said I couldn't go..plus..I have a huge microeconomics test that day..and that class doesn't end until 2:15..so I probably would barely make it in time..oh well..hopefully somebody will get to go!

I AM SO THERE!

I just saw them in dallas cause they weren't coming to new orleans and no less than a week later, they are coming here!

so i'll be there!

i already told my boss and he's like great!

this is pretty great for the city, much needed attention.

the only sucky thing, u2 and green day are playing the half time show inside the dome, not outside and there are no tickets left for any of the games. just season tickets and they have very few of those!

I'm excited for you. You'll have to let us know how awesome it was. This is an awesome event for New Orleans. I'd love to be there just to celebrate the spirit of it.

Ah! there's still hope that I might get to go..but is there an official site of the day's activities or anything? I need concrete details to convince my dad..

and also..Green Day and U2 are playing BEFORE the game..right?..that's what most of the articles I've read say...

all i've heard is goo playing outside for free.

u2 and green day are the half time shows inside the dome....not free.

i'm still gonna be there....i'm leaving work at noon so i'll be out there a few good hours before the show. front and center is my goal! :nanner: :nanner: :nanner:

I'm there!!!! (just planning for the baby sitter) I live 40 minutes away. Pink Boa Lady, I plan to go early as well -- maybe we can meet? I would LOVE to get in front too -- basically my first goo concert since I've become obsessed!!!!!!!!!

Well..I found like a million websites that say u2 and green day are also playing the PRE-game show..so looks like I have a prayer at getting to go! *fingers crossed*..but..if I don't get to go, the rest of ya'll have an amazing time! I'm sure it's going to be a blast..and SOO crazy! lol

sure we can meet up!

i'm hoping by going around noon we'll have a good chance of getting front and center!!

no telling where they'll set up...since they say the "plaza"...could between the dome and macy's or the dome and the arena... no clue! if i can find that out, we could pick a place to meet!

And AngelsFall, from my understanding U2 and Green Day will be playing before but INSIDE for ticket holders. Only the Goos will be outside for everyone.

Did you all see this part? Woo Hoo! Live Goo on TV. I even have ESPN in HD....can't get better than that!
