Title: Inner Machine: Yes or No???
Post by Kevster89 on Aug 23rd, 2006, 1:19am
OK.... my birthday is coming up... and I think the Inner Machine sounds interesting.  In all your opinions, would it be worth purchasing the annual membership?  If so... I would likely put it on my birthday list.  Get back to me when you can guys.  Thanks a lot!!

-Have a goo day

I dunno...

I didn't like the idea of having to pay to join a fan club just so I could read the band's website and forum, but I joined anyway.
I won a meet & greet and the tickets I got for the show I went to were pretty good, like row 8, so I suppose that was worth it. If I had been one of the folks who got crummy seats for the show, I would have said not worth it. They are trying to make improvements in their ticketing system, so maybe it will make it more worthwhile if all that works better.

I just joined yesterday and I'm really happy with the site  ;D

I've been very happy with my membership. I love the bonus features like the videos and concert pics. My favorite is the Q&A.

I just bought two fanclub tickets to one of the Canadian shows and I was done with my transaction is minutes. The new ticketing system seems to be working out well.

I think it's worth it, just with all the little perks you can get, like the Q&A, and everything, plus being eligible for pre-sale tickets, which I haven't been able to purchase.

But I think it's worth it.

Although the Goo's make you feel like you belong even if you aren't a member of IM.

That's the absolute truth!!!

I've been happy with my membership so far....we'll see how happy I am when I pick up my tickets at will call for the show on Thursday, but if they're bad, I won't hold that against them....the IM site overall has been a very good investment to me.

I won't speak my opinion of the IM because I'm tired of it, but...

Is the whole Goo site broken for anyone else?  I haven't been able to get on all day.

is it just IM that isn't working for you or googoodolls.com?

I believe Red O is referring to the googoodolls.com site

They have both been working fine for me though.

It was actually both.  But they magically started working right when I started writing an email to the staff.

my bad, I just thought that you had posted before about the  IM not being something you liked, or the idea of it in regards to being a "true" fan having to pay for the things that used to be free such as archived blogs and such....maybe I am mistaken you for someone else....anyways sorry for assuming you meant the free site only.....

No problem thinking it was only the main site.  Until very recently I was not an IM member, for the reasons you stated as well as others.  While I do think it was an extreme error for them to make the IM, I joined about a week ago so that I could get presales though I don't think it is right at all.  And just to make me even more annoyed about the whole thing, the show I ended up getting tickets for has a GA floor and I didn't even have to buy an IM membership to get the tickets. SIGH.

And... now both the main site and the IM site are down AGAIN for me.  I can't help but wonder why I didn't have this problem until I became an IM member...

Well, if it weren't for IM, I still wouldn't have my pic with the Goos. I anticipate getting good seats SOMETIME thru the pre-sales. (so far it wasn't so good) I enjoy the Q&A portion of the site, exclusive photos, interviews, etc.

So, I hope those examples answer your question... GOO-d luck! Let us know what you decide to do.  :-*

I have nothing but good things to say for IM, I believe it is well worth the 30 $...it fights the frustration of poachers sucking up all our great seats and selling them for outragous prices on EBAY...I go to a lot of goo shows and i haven't been let down..i won a meet & greet, and had great seats..It's new thay are working out the bugs. they take immediate action when problems arise..I feel very proud to support a band that cares deeply for their fans..in fact i believe we are very spoiled.  but without boards like WOG and AG i wouldn't have met and become friends with many of you special ladies...it's a sorority GammaGammaGoo lol..i look forward to these events (NYE) which tends to be one of our largest goo~gathering

Kudos

Teri~
