Goo Goo Dolls coming to London

The Goo Goo Dolls have an official date in downtown London.

This month�s Internet buzz about the U.S. rockers playing the John Labatt Centre on Nov. 15 was confirmed yesterday. The Goo Goo Dolls play the 3,200-seat RBC Theatre on Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m.

The Goo Goo Dolls formed in Buffalo in 1986 but didn�t hit it big until the mid-1990s. The band�s 1995 double-platinum A Boy Named Goo, was their first big hit. The ballad Iris, featured on the 1998 soundtrack for the movie City of Angels, remained No. 1 on the Billboard charts for 18 weeks earning three Grammy nominations. Dizzy Up the Girl, with Iris among its tracks, went triple platinum.

Long based in California, the Goo Goo Dolls recently returned to their home town of Buffalo to record their eighth album, Let Love In.

Hamilton soul-rock newcomer Tomi Swick is also on the bill.

I was really looking forward to going to this show.. but looks like I won't be going. My Grandmother passed away Saturday (the 19th) and her burial is at 10am on Friday. So, I won't be around to get tix.. and that show is going to sell out in minutes. Bummer. Oh well, life goes on. Guess I'll have to catch them another time.

Sure is, I live two hours away from London, Ontario.

When someone mentions London to me, I think London Ontario, and I WILL Be at that concert for any WoG'r who wants to meet up.

I'll be in the Wheelchair section 208....I have to get tickets soon when they go on sale.

I didn't think it up.  That's all the blue o.  :D

If I go (I have a ticket, but it's a long drive in potentially nasty weather and I will have serious school/work conflicts, so I'm questioning my sanity) I'll wear a red o somewhere.   :D

That would be awesome.
I would wear my white o and Tara could wear her teal o.
We'd get the strangest looks from others...but then again, they don't know it's a WoG thing.

This will be my 4th time seeing them live  ;D

I just turned 20 on Monday.. so we've each got a long way ahead to see Goo live ;)
