I've been insanely busy lately and was in upstate New York/ Vermont for four days last week. I guess I haven't had much to contribute lately.

It's okay. We've settled into boring mode. It'll be better when we're getting daily reports on John's girlfriend/drinking/huge apendages/pocket lint...

It's so great to see them playing Name right back when it was all fresh and new for them, before it got so big. Random(ish) video time - this is not the greatest song ever, nor the greatest animation ever, but it's MY greatest animation so far, so that'll do. I think the next animation, if I can get it done fairly quickly, will be Christmas related, but this one is about a Unicorn - er, a girl and a horse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7uIfWMETm4 And Lauren, you're so lucky! That must have been pretty awesome for you. I have yet to meet anyone who's such a big fan as I am, except while we're queueing for goo concerts Although one of my friends, who used to diss the band quite a lot, has found that Pandora keeps recommending GGD music to him and he quite likes it. Ha ha! So he is coming round, slowly but surely.... |
| I love the animation! It's awesome to the max.

But it doesn't hurt to read the whole thing because Paul Westerberg is awesome. http://blogs.twincities.com/ross/2007/09/nightclub_jitters.html And don't take it the wrong way. It's almost a compliment in 'Paul speak'. He usually brutally insults everyone who is influenced by him, but he's actually always pretty nice to John. |
| Cool article. Thanks for that. I noticed in the OT thread that you named Paul as one of your top 5. Don't kill me but I've never heard one of his songs.....ever **ducks** Saz....your animation is too cute. Nice work!!!! Michael.....thanks for the Name video. I hadn't seen that one. John's hair was cracking me up....all teased to the max. It reminds me of those cavemen's hair in the Geico commercials....lol And Robby still has that early twenties baby face....what a doll!

Thanks for the comments about the animation guys! I'll know in 5 days whether it was enough to get me my Masters degree or not.... I'll definitely post the next one as and when it gets made. I can't get the Paul Westerberg link to work right now.... it sounds like an interesting read though! I'll try again another time. In random news, a missile base in the US is going on sale as the ideal home for an aspiring James Bond-style villain. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7012020.stm I think I need my eyepatch and white fluffy cat, pronto!

| Aww, I wouldn't kill you. It's not like he gets played on the radio or anything. I bought the Best Of/B-Sides Replacements collection years ago because I was curious to see if the Goos "were rip offs of the Replacements", as everyone loves to say. I loved it, so I bought a couple others, then got into Paul Westerberg's solo stuff, which I love waaay more than the band stuff. It's such an acquired taste though, it seems. And completely off topic, but I'm sitting in the nicest hotel room I've ever been in right now. I don't think I'm going to leave.
